It's hard to end a really long epic-fantasy series in a satisfying way, especially if you don't know where you're going with it from the beginning. Wheel of Time had a satisfying ending because it was one of the first things Jordan wrote when road mapping the series. He died of amyloidosis before finishing it, but I feel like Brandon Sanderson did a great job (some liberties being taken, notwithstanding). I think comparing the two is a fair comparison.
