What I said was that when people with audiences use Kiwifarms for their benefit without acknowledging or crediting it, you seem to take it very personally. And the inverse is true, where when people DO give the forum deference, you respond very favorably.

I don't watch Pippa or any VTubers, but the first time I remember you brining her up on MatI, you had a whole hit piece prepared that as you went through, realized it was less than damning, chastised the thread for misrepresenting the clips, then dropped the topic.

I wouldn't have added the last part of my original post, and just left it as agreeing with the whole loli debate being a 3rd rail that antagonizes the non-pedophiles and emboldens the actual pedos who enjoy their dogwhistles being called out. But your longer post yesterday in this thread gave me this same impression again, that it's less about whatever level of pedo enabling Pippa's doing with her stream, emoji, avatar, etc. And is instead that she benefited from Kiwifarms (which she obviously did) and hasn't done anything to pay it back or at the very least acknowledge it. The same thing you've mentioned annoying you about Jim in the past. And I do think this is the reason you single Pippa out in the sea of anime VTuber uh oh child erotic shit.

If anything, the bias in my post is I hate PPP and think he's a fraud. Make of that as you will.

I get like several pings and it's someone rating shit and then commenting like this clearly meant as a reply without directly quoting shit as if I said something abhorrent.

I mean, yeah. But she did credit the forum. She openly talked about the forum, me, rekieta, jim, ralph, chris, etc. Perhaps it's best described as a paternalistic disappointment. I don't want anyone to like us, I want winners to like us. It is frustrating that she chooses to sell her time this way and to the people she does, when she has origins that are so close to my home. I wish I could look at the lolcow-adjacent VTuber and be like, "yeah that's gay anime shit but she's the best one of the entire lot". Instead she's got the cunny emote.

If you want to know why she doesn't mention the forum or easily collab with Kirsche, it's not because she doesn't like it, it's because she doesn't want to cause problems with her coworkers. If anything Vtubing is trending towards what you'd like.

Thing is in this case the fucked up origin reference is the reason why it's named the way it is in terms of emotes. That's where the disappointment/anger comes from.

As others have been asking, what is the meme other than finding children erotic? This is actual sub saharan logic. 'Ok it has a dark past but it doesn't have the same meaning anymore' it does though. It has always only meant one thing.

I understand why people might be upset by it, but I don't think in this case it's used in relation to its origin but as something that has been devoid of that.

Here's my take on it, the word retard today is taken as a slur but no one who uses it is probably out there to insult actually mentally disabled retards. The same people who bitch about the word retard will use a word like idiot, which had a medical definition before, or they might use slow which is a synonym for retard, and even lame which refers to the crippled. This shit loses its initial meaning all the time and isn't used like you're reading into it.

Hell, I remember she made the Melted Pippa emote and was scolded for it because it might be seen as rude to the original artist by Japanese standards. That's how she is, she does dumb shit and doesn't really think about it, that's why she did the Ralph streams which got her in trouble and she had to reign it in. The only reason she's given special treatment to be more loose is because she was bringing in numbers and if she wasn't Phase would be a very different company today because management didn't want to be edgy.
