He then describes people complaining to him about limiting their access to information...

Why are they like this? I see the UK smothered in brown people, stabbing, chanting, raping, assaulting... and it's still not as shocking as how utterly retarded the actual British are. There are no word for it. It hurts the soul. I imagine this is something resembling what Hitler felt as he tried to avoid fighting them.

As a bit of geography sperging, I am fairly sure that that article about the Pitcairn Islands is wrong. They are a British Overseas Territory, but are not part of the British Antarctic Territory. Indeed they are almost tropical islands. The main island is at 25 degrees South. Miami is at 25 degrees north.

Being Bri'ish, there is of course a long history of child marriage on the island, the age of consent is considered to be 12 on the island.

What a nice comfy stream. I don't get to lurk as much as I want so I have a hard time keeping up with everything going on so a stream like this was perfect. The Asian guy was pretty endearing tbh (are there any more wholesome cows? 🤔). I enjoyed the opening video too so props to whoever made it.

Also, I'm one of the people who navigates the site using the notifications sorry Josh. 😖
 
Catching up on MATI now, and if they're supposed to say "Oh no! My Oshi!" when something bad happens, when one of them does something good you should make them say "Oh yay! My Oshi!"

As a reminder, you likely personally monitored me in a designated shitting street thread, waiting for an excuse to ban me after I was jannied from the council of women and Russell Greer threads for pissing off those communities as well.

First of all, it’s a bad idea in general to shit on your community. It burns bridges and emboldens your enemies. Secondly, I grow weary of your delusions and you should conduct additional introspection to see the sticker fag within yourself.

The human brain is HARDWIRED to release dopamine when another human indicates they like them or agree with them. This is literally a condition of being a cooperative species, so everyone has it. The human brain also has a natural inclination to feel bad whenever another human indicates their disapproval but a minority of people can overcome this and either derive pleasure from negative attention or disregard negative attention from their outgroups. These fundamental rules of human psyche govern all online interactions.

You’ve cultivated a community through 10+ years of moderation policy natural selection that’s willing to offer you a false consensus that is immediately and observably false just to humor you. (On this point alone, you should cringe every time you shit on your community.) Ask yourself why you already know, without revisiting your newest sticker sperging thread that the OP and posts that say stickers are gay have lots of updoots? This apparent contradiction is because your community actually likes updoots but some actively pretend not to because you personally pretend to not like updoots.

I know for a fact that you care about the number of updoots your posts get because you cried for months when your twitter account was banned instead of immediately making a new one. Making a new account resets your followers. You are either lying when you say you don’t care about the number of likes your posts get or you’ve trained your brain to release dopamine from your follower count alone. Either way, there is no functional difference between you admiring your follower count and Fascist Kirk admiring his horde of winner stickers won by engineering a false consensus.

Your own design decisions on this site also undermine the pretense that stickers are to be treated as an anonymous suggestion box, providing one-to-one feedback on a post. The first and most obvious issue with this retarded take is sticker counts are public so other users can immediately tell which users within a community are widely respected and which users are antagonizing that community. You reserve an ultra-special super updoot sticker for yourself that you give to posts that you really like. You do this because you want those users to get a dopamine hit and you make your super updoot sticker public so they get a degree of prestige within your community. You also have the T&H updoot sticker that you offer users who donate for literally the same reason. Your mind might not know why you do this but your brain certainly does. You’d feel good if you got an achievement or a T&H sticker on your post, so you give it to someone else because you want them to feel good. It is quite literally this simple and any other explanation is pure cope.

You have let the histrionic wailing of dickless men and governments allegedly run by adults convince you that you run the most based community possible on the internet. You don’t. You run a time capsule of Reddit from the 2000s. This site is a loose federation of insular communities that are able to summon jannies to scrub wrongthink (see “OMG my thread was derailed!?!” reports) from their threads at will. The only exceptions to this rule are a handful of contrarian users that you openly maintain a moderation double-standard for and the A&N board (which is a bit of a black sheep). Your community offers you a false consensus because your moderation policy controls for users that would give you contrarian or critical feedback. Over the course of my time on your site, I have watched in disappointment as many of my favorite contrarian users were systematically scrubbed from thread-to-thread until it eventually started happening to me. Eventually, many just give up on your site but there’s nowhere for us to go. The Chans are dominated by feds and pedophiles. Discord is gay. Your competitor sites are gay. Twitter is gay. Personally, I’ve just made my peace with the fact that the old internet is dead and I’m never again going to be allowed to invade a 9/11 truther thread to post the adiabatic flame temperature of kerosine without being jannied.
