Everytime. You have how many horses there and that's the one that breaks. She failed immediately in remedial action of the animal and fucking fell off. Who knows what the state of the training was for either of them. I admittedly have a very low opinion of British police and their readiness and training in general.

It's a dangerous job and they didn't sign up for it.

Look, I love animals. I don't even eat meat. Bad things happen, yes. The fact is they are living a much better life than most other horses or dogs. Spend time around them vs a house dog or the average horse that gets to just walk around the field and never gets to do much else. They are happy. They get pampered, exercise, and mental stimulation. Horses are incredibly smart animals. Dogs too. They get bored. They like obstacle courses and drills. And it may seem hokey, but you can see the pride in them when they're all dressed up and in formation patrolling. It's not like they are being treated like Amish animals.

would you rather the dog attacked a human instead? mauling them and causing permanent nerve damage for 80 years? hunting dogs can get injured and cows didnt sign up to be eaten either but that doesn't matter. if animals can be used to solve legitimate problems, they should be. that's why we domesticated them, to solve problems. we should figure out how to use hunting dogs and riot horses to solve the problem of black lives matter, instead of tolerating it abusing both humans and animals alike.

I get your point, a bike thrown at a horse is not the same as a bike thrown at a police car. I just wanted to shit on UK for being a terrible place.

edit for the counter point that others raised: being part of the force is still probably better than being eaten by a Norvegian...

Born & bred to work. If it's any consolation, the amount of horse or dog injuries or deaths are staggeringly low. Perps virtually never shoot at horses or dogs, you'd think they'd be prime targets but in an actual altercation most perps have a primal fear response to an animal when they're in pursuit and don't fight back in a way that endangers the work animal.

PETA would be up-in-arms to shove cop horse death statistics in your face if modern urban cavalry was a death mill, you might be able to Google a rare local story but in general you can expect work animals to be safer and treated better than people.

I don't know as much about the horses because I just don't know as much about horses, but service dogs definitely tend to love being service dogs and did "sign up for it" to some degree. The trainings tend to have a fairly high washout rate, I have beautiful full blood German shepherd that I'm pretty sure washed out for being too friendly with strangers/not aggressive enough.

Theater kid stuff. No surprise there, but you think they'd have the self-awareness to understand that drag and/or stage makeup only looks good in mostly dark settings with high contrast, harsh spotlights where audience members might not be able to see faces clearly, and not on camera in a place with even lighting.

Fuck, who am I kidding. All these people watch RuPaul's Drag Race and want attention on camera no matter how retarded they look. They think looking stupid is cool and not unprofessional as fuck.
 
I once again am begging animal lovers not erode the barrier between the other kind of "animal lovers" by introducing human concepts of consent to their conception of animals.
