Just watched last Friday's stream. Suggestion: you should make a rule that only Monero chats get to request YouTube videos. That will force more people to learn crypto.

There is currently an ongoing, concerted effort by some group of progressive slacktivists to pressure various subreddits into blocking links to X/Twitter. They're coordinating, and sprung it on a bunch of places at once- sports subreddits, local subreddits, video game subreddits, dozens and hundreds of threads about it. It's wild seeing it happen in real time.

These are just the ones I found on the first 300 links of r/all. Tranny janny powermods on Reddit are effectively coordinating to ban links to Xitter site-wide.

This user on r/shitredditsays had a theory why sports subreddits are being so heavily targeted:

They’re attacking there first for a reason. Those sports subs rely heavily on reposting tweets. If the left can use their control of those subs (they’ve seized every major sport sub, and nearly all the team subs), they can enforce bans on all of those. They are hoping that will lower engagement on all the team, reporter, and player X/Twitter accounts, which they are then hoping will cause the owners of those accounts to be pressured into moving to their leftist controlled bluesky.

It's probably also doubly effective, in their eyes, as the majority of sports fans tend to be more blue-collar type people that aren't active in a lot of the usual subs the left is (especially, because they've been driven away by the all the previous politicking the left has been engaged in), and wouldn't normally be effected when the leftist powermods throw one of their usual tantrums in those usual subs.

In any event, it’s all coordinated. I would imagine that, in the next couple of days, you are going to see these same power mods attempt to take the entire site “dark” again (by locking all the subs they have seized, and posting some sort of message as to how they can't, "in good conscience mod subs for a site that won't ban sites run by nAzI's"), to give the admins a reason to ban X/Tweets site wide.

They turned that stupid ass awkward gesture into a “crisis” yesterday, with the goal of creating something they could use to get people off the social media they don’t control, and back onto one they do. (”never let a good crisis go to waste…”)

Can someone explain to me why Ross Ulbricht doesn't deserve to die in prison? Is he not guilty of facilitation of drug trafficking?

This probably has something to do with it. Also Obongo was wiretapping phones all over the place and nobody cared or cares.

I would probably agree it would probably be better if we executed people who enabled shit like this, but that would also necessitate the government being fair and lawfully executing people who enable wiretapping of innocent citizens, and that's not going to happen for a multitude of reasons. So in the end, I think most people probably settle for "fuck you" to the feds, because hating the government should be the great unifying factor for all Americans, blessed be the name of Washington and the year of our lord 1776.

I’ve been buying VHS’ and DVDs and lately watching them with friends. Way comfy, I have a good amount but I think people like having an almost “curated” choice of movies, instead of a waterfall of slop mixed in with an actual movie or show. There’s also something comfy in seeing old ads for movies that were coming out at that time. Last time we had friends over we watched Tiptoes (lmfao) and Beverly Hills Chihuahua while hanging out and talking. Even slop like that is more fun if you own it.

I have been doing this too, DVDs are about a buck a piece at the thrift stores, vhs the same or just take the box for free. It's a bit like going to the movie rental store, but cheaper (i remember the cheap ones being $2 for 7 days, maybe $7 for a fairly new one). Plus just donate them when you are done, no late fees.

Lots of deserved prison enjoyers get away with it these days. Too many. Like the honorable Doctor Fauci, who got away with something he wasn't even charged with yet. Enough resentment builds up and eventually people take a stand with those they otherwise wouldn't.

I wish that when Trump was swinging that saber around he would have passed it off to her, she would have raised her hat to reveal a black mask, and a Spanish voice over with subtitles would have materialized to promote the new Mask of Zorro: El Aniquilación De Cartels movie being filmed in southern Texas at this very moment.

Since recently, Bitcoin payments are possible on xmrchat, too. So you don‘t need to swap previously bought Bitcoin into Monero. It‘s still only for on-chain payments, though.
