On the Israel point for the latest MATI. They did what they did for the reasons you mentioned but they also took out all of Assad's chemical weapons and other WMDs, along with their labs, rockets, research facilities, navy, military bases (that were abandoned), aircraft etc to prevent it from getting in the hands of Jihadists because no one knows if the current head of Syria or HTS will be super Islamic or "westernize" because HTS was officially part of Al-Quida and then was a part of ISIS.

Drinking coffee is a pleasurable activity in and of itself, drinking coffee is a cultural practice and a part of daily life for many people. You don't drink coffee "just for the caffeine" in the same was you don't eat food "just for the nutrients".

If you could compress all your food into a pill that would give you the exact same benefits, would you do it? Of course not, and why? Because it's highly unnatural and would deprive you of the pleasure of eating it, that's literally the philosophy that lead to the creation of soylent, so why would you do the same with your coffee? Why would you seek to replace it with jewish caffeine pills or spoil it with artificial sweeteners when you can just drink all natural black coffee like a normal person?

I agree with you, broadly, but there are absolutely people who simply see food as another box to check so they don't die. I think more people than you'd expect would take the once-a-day food pill. There are days I'd like to have something like that to hand. Most meals for me are a time to take break and simply enjoy something. Sometimes, I just slam a protein shake to stave off the hunger so I can get back to something pressing. I do think there's something deeply wrong with taking every meal as a chore. Taking time to have a meal with people you care about is a profoundly human experience, and I despise that most people now eat in front of a TV, or with their phones in their hands.
