I am also a "need caffiene and no interest in quitting" person, but I actually found too many downsides to coffee. It was staining my teeth from sipping it all day, but if I drink it quickly it hurts my stomach. I am a tea person but I really only like certain fancy herbal teas and it would be quite expensive and time-consuming to make it a worthwhile switch, and I only like most tea hot with milk and sugar and it would add up to a lot of empty calories to drink 4-6 cups a day.
I also work long hours in a hot kitchen and I can't exactly spend time making fresh tea or coffee, and I don't really like it iced.
I drink preworkout mixed with ice water. It's magnitudes cheaper than energy drinks. A good brand might cost 30 bucks for the tub, but you'll get like 60-180 uses depending on dose. You can obviously get ones that are full to the brim with strange chemicals and artificial colors and sweeteners, but they really make all kinds. I use one that has a shitload of B vitamins especially B12, and I find that if I have a lot of B12 I can have less caffiene and feel just as alert. I got a tiny scoop 1/4th the size of the standard scoop for more accurate dosing. I drink about 150mg of caffiene when I work and 50 on my days off.
I would never touch "Gamer Supps" or anything like that but more something like this, which was just the first result on Amazon for clean preworkout:
Caffiene is probably the best appetite suppressent that hasn't been pulled off the shelves (It's the main thing in Hydroxycut) but imo you've got to be at the outer limits for safe caffiene use to get much suppressent effect, and if you are morbidly obese you probably should not stress your body with 200+mg caffiene daily.
Diet colas are loved both by the morbidly obese and very thin people. Obviously something with 0 cal doesn't make you fat, but I think the constant hits of sweetener are often psychologically a trigger to eat for overeaters/food addicts.
I haven't watched MATI in ages because I got burnt out over politics and especially trannies. I've got to catch up now that the election is done with!
