I know Josh knows his own finances and his time better than anyone, but I'd be concerned about loss of Gumroad + vastly increased cost of living + half the streams. I don't know that half the streams would instantly mean half the money, but there has to be a group who donates the same amount every stream and won't suddenly start doing double just because there are fewer streams. I wonder how much the audience has changed since the start of doing two streams a week.

There's also an aspect where the less often a show takes place, the more likelihood that you fall out of rhythm and forget about it and drift away. This might be less of an issue for a show that's at least weekly, though.
 
The format of two shows within 72 hours of each other has been bad for my time management, ability to manage the archives, and the actual quality of the show.
 
I am stricken with a bout of autism and after multiple months of torment I finally caved and made this, you can put anything you want over this and it's funny.

I understand your concern with time management but I disagree that doing two streams a week is bad for the show. Back when you were doing one stream a week, the streams would constantly get over four hours long. It also felt like you could talk about a greater variety of topics when doing two streams a weeks because you didn’t have to catch up with an entire weeks worth of content.

The two streams a week are perfect for MATI, it makes "Fresh news" feel alot fresher for both KF users and also just MATI viewers who gets their news from the stream but I understand that the host also needs to put in double the work and stream hours to cover topics. From Null's perspective having to do more shit than just MATI it makes sense, but doing two streams a week would benefit MATI more growth and interest wise. It's a compromise he'd have to evaluate. Two streams a week is better for the show but worse for how much time he'd have doing anything else.
My best wish is that it'd be less of a hassle to fight for the website being up, and then to use that extra time growing the brand and podcast to try to reach more normies to make KF more accepted and profitable.
(Special throwback to Null in November complaining that he was on an EXCELLENT trajectory growing viewership of MATI that got derailed because of technical issues and it got him mad, it's not like he doesn't want MATI to grow he just wants more time doing other shit that are more important, better and more safe for the website long term. But I'd really love seeing MATI be better and more consistent, to which the #1 solution would be not having technical issues and 5 minutes long periods where the stream shits itself)
 
Bros listening to Null's recap of Nick's downfall on the last MATI is surreal.

If not for Nick, I wouldn't have gone to Bubbafest to see him and support Vic. I also wouldn't have met the woman I eventually began dating and will be marrying. When people ask how we met, I don't tell them I was in town to meet the whiskey-drinking lawyer before his monumental crash-and-burn and the flamboyant voice actor he's 'supporting', but in the back of my head I know that's part of it.

Katie says Consent accident-style allegations against her wouldn't be materially damaging cos she's a woman (I think this should also apply to Liz, another woman, but Katie leaves this unsaid 😠)
They talk about Fong's cancellation of a KF user (currently featured on landing page), Katie denounces Fong but also says this guy found out
Jesse still wants to hear from him personally in writing

Haven’t listened yet but just based on reading the forum I’ve always thought the rape allegation thing is shaky ground.
Not that that justifies Fong’s actions in any way, but I don’t think it helps.

The "rape allegation" is that Fong admits to doing something that by his own logic, is rape. So he is either a rapist, or wrong about sex in general. (It's the second, but fun to play it's the first.)

The key through all these things, however, is large dogs.

I deliberately phrased that quite strongly, I zoned out a bit during that part and couldn't be bothered to rewind, he definitely seemed skeptical would be a fairer phrasing.

On a serious note, EV trucks are heavier, almost impossible to tip over, have unlimited torque and all wheel drive. Unstoppable compared to a Hilux. A solid choice.
