1. One blew up.
2. Not everyone is as rich as you.
3. Too niche, couldn't fly over land, absurdly high operation and maintenance costs, high cost to retrofit due to the "blowing up" problem.

Also, you'd have to leave from England or France to use one anyway.

What you need is a Global 8000. Mach 0.92 sustained cruise. But you can walk around, install good Internet, etc.

I look forward to hearing "KiwiFarms One" on the radio.

And it had a gnarly crash. I saw the last one doing a farewell tour over Edinburgh.

But the main thing was the cost of operation. In the era of budget airlines and economical big jets, it was just lunacy.
 
What the fuck someone just posted "AVOID THE GROID," in response to @Lidl Drip and I loved it, but now it's gone, I don't know who you are, but thanks I guess.

Sorry, You're going to have to wait and see if the airplane "Boom Supersonic" is designing is ever going to fly. Supposedly they have airline orders already but as of now it's still a CGI mockup. Maybe call your good friend Elon and see if he can give them some money.

I just want Ekranoplanes to be a thing again.

Basically by flying really close over water there's a lot of extra lift so heavy as hell aircraft can fly with stubby wings. The Soviets gave up on em cause they were hard to control but with modern avionics it shouldn't be an issue.

Also bring Zeppelins back, people ride shitty Amtrak just for the scenery, they'd definitely do a two day trip across the Atlantic just cause.

 
One factor about Concorde’s retirement that is often overlooked, is that a great deal of her passengers were commuters that worked in the WTC, and after 9/11, those passengers were dead, and companies had to downsize operations at the time; losing key employees then the ensuing stock market crash was the death knell for those companies that flew Concorde. It was truly sad.

I wish I got to see her in her glory. I wish nothing but the best for Boom.
