What fucking infuriates me about the fall of Byzantines is the sheer amount of bad luck and pointless retard losses after the (and including) Battle of Manzikert. The real deathblow was the sack of Constantinople in 1204 and while I appreciate the Palaiologos dynasty for trying to keep the empire going, it was delaying the inevitable at that point.

Slovenia left first (1991 short conflict), then Croatia (1991-1995 war; croatian serbs went apeshit), then Bosnia (1992-1995 worst conflict), and finally the civil war with Kosovo which started 1998. By the time of the NATO bombing in 1999 Yugoslavia only consisted of Serbia and Montenegro. So I guess if NATO didn't get involved then Kosovo would not have won the civil war. Or maybe the war would still be going on who knows.
