The troon crim had failed to attend three separate court appointments from what I understand, so there was already a warrant out for his arrest when he committed the murder.I'm not saying it's necessarily the case here, but in my local area, when a suspect is released "on recognizance" or without a monetary bond, the stipulations and monitoring of them is closer than it would be if they paid for it. This was also the case with Nick Rekieta. If the murderous troon would have bonded out with cash anyway, or if he would have been out by now on some kind of probation (the initial offense, a simple assault, happened in June 2023) it wouldn't make a difference. I'm not sure I want to give judges, especially theythem judges, the right to hold people indefinitely without bond.
He just vanished into the ether until he stabbed the cop so it doesnt seem as it he was being actively monitored.
This particular theyby judge was a huge proponent for the removal of cash bonds (they're rayciss don't you know).
I would love to see the stats for failure to attend and recidivism in non monetary bond cases.
You just know without the threat of a bail bondsman hanging over them so many crims are zooming out of there never to be seen again.
