When Null said "A cyst in my brain just exploded", I kept laughing along with the Lupin video because that's a perfect way to describe a distant memory that was randomly accessed. Is there a thread for things that just appear in your brain like that? If not, I want to make one.

I am very disappointed my fellow kiwis not only know things about gacha games, but apparently also play them. Shame.

In the first embedded video, I thought I heard a chirp within ten seconds, and then I moved on to the second one; there, I noticed that the interviewer had a whistling S, so I went back and confirmed that was what I heard. Do you have time codes for the chirps? I wonder if they are an illusion based on a speech impediment.

Yeah, she's running for dictator against the former dictator's son. That detail is so confusing. How can you have a dictator who is elected? And if you know that the dictatorship is for life or until abdication, then how can you trust the elections at all? Pacifica must not actually be a democracy and instead is some sort of leftist reactionary state where everyone is so brainwashed that they actually believe 1984 is controversial, but at the same time have robots everywhere which could easily be reprogrammed or code-injected to be government snitches. Either this game was made for young children, or everyone in Norway is too retarded to be white. Red Thread, Dustborn's developer company, is Norwegian.

The gacha is basically tacked on as an afterthought for character/weapon unlocks.
From what I've seen of the game it's split into "people that actually play and barely spend any money if at all" and "deranged fuckers who don't play the game, blow 200 to 500 dollars on character rolls treating it like standard character png gacha, and then scream about the game company being racist/sexist/exploitative because the character they blew all that money on in fact WAS NOT gay for his adoptive brother like the hentai they've been consooming framed it as being and the small child they lust over isn't 1000s of years old and is literally just an autist child who likes blowing up fish the local police have to tardwrangle/babysit.

Then there's the third faction of "meta" fags for a fucking F2p single player game with a co op mode. Ever seen the stereotype for the comp smash scene? it's that but worse. much, much worse. Jesus Christ stay far fucking away from those people if you even get the idea to touch this game.

New international translation. Absolutely haram. Leaves out the most important context behind OG English word "begotten". Which is a verb conjugation of "begot" to mean getting a female pregnant.

Stupid Evangelical prudes left out the whole Mary getting pregnant and birthing thing in their translation. They need to be thrown off a tower.

(Incidentally the NIV translation of John 3:16 is a big reason pretty much every church outside mainline US protestants loath it. It deliberately undermines a foundation stone of Christian theology to meet the puritan social mores of Americans)
