Obviously it comes down to overhead costs(skins are easy to make and take far fewer man-hours to make than a full game) and how many times you can get consumers to make the purchase, but if you wonder why Blizzard functions the way it does now)or any other gaming company for that matter), this is why. Actually I was watching a Nick DeOrio stream VOD where he face-cam'd himself in his pinball machine dungeon yesterday, and he said something at one point along the lines of "I promise chat, I'll make one more video before the end of the year, but it takes way more hours to make a video that will get a fraction of the views, Right now streaming is where the money is at, I'd be stupid not to." So he only goes live once or twice a week, uploads the stream after an editor goes over it, and peeks in on/intrudes on Chud Logic or Destiny streams.

I vaguely recall something from a few years ago where WoW had to remove the /spit emote from the game because everyone was /spitting on people in game that were riding on one of the real money store mounts. Was it the celestial steed, or something newer? WoW whales were getting butthurt that the community thought they were faggots so Blizz changed the game to keep them from feeling buyer's remorse.

IIRC it was basically a gay version of the headless horseman's mount, which actually took time and effort to get (all the best mounts before the enpaypiggening did). It wasn't really liked at the time, and mount hunters hated it.

There was some damn protodrake mount that was a super rare spawn that a friend camped for months to get (we had macros and addons that would scream at him if it spawned) and he finally got it during thanksgiving dinner lol.

Two questions:
1) Why did he go against basic firearms training and let Bigfoot get within swinging range with a deadly weapon before shooting, and

It's the testosterone levels. The Olympics had to drastically raise the maximum T that could be in a "woman's" system just to let black "women" participate. Because of the incredible amounts of T in black "women", there's very little sexual dimorphism, which is why you can put a wig and makeup on any black man and you'd never know based on just the face. It's why their breasts are all shaped like orangutan pancake tiddy moobs. They added a special high-poly warpstalker mount for dropping a fat load of cash on Burning Crusade Classic, and it stood out from the classic experience. It was actually Asmongold who drove people to abuse the slash-spit, and Blizzard decided to remove the emote from the entire game(classic, retail, everything) to make sure paypiggies weren't shamed from spending money. Would've been the tail end of 2021 or 2022.
 
Just shows how important money is. His "streaming is my entire life" spiel is telling. They showed they could take it away, yanked his chain, he fell to his knees, and realized he truly loved current_thing.
