Ana Kasparian has revealed she left the democratic party because she was sexually assaulted by a homeless person in Los Angeles and leftists told her to shut up about it.
Kasparian says she was picking up her dog's poop when a homeless man came up from behind her and grabbed her hips. He allegedly had an er*ction and started thrusting. When she shared her story, liberals accused her of "painting a wrongful picture of the homeless community" with some people calling her racist even though she didn't say what race the man was. "That woke me up," Kasparian said.

Man I've missed Bad at Video Games. Hearing Jersh go from screeching with sheer frustration to giggling with joy is good for the soul.
Plus, poop jokes.

I am astonished by how few likable characters Dustborn has. I figured that, although it's one of those overtly turbo-leftist political games, people I strongly disagree with can make good and interesting pieces of art. Separate the art from the artist and all that. The characters won't be one-dimensional strawmen of what the right jokingly paints them as... right? The enemies won't be super stereotypical cardboard cutouts of what the left portrays the right as... right? Plus they got some European government money invested into it so maybe there would be some oversight on what got put out...... right?

WRONG LOL

  • The main character Pax was revealed to be a gigantic bully as a child, something she has 100% not grown out of, and constantly tries and fails to paint herself as a victim. Lucky for her, she has super powers to get her way.
  • The huge Muslim woman Sai was at her best when she was being set on fire. Disappointed she doesn't have a huge damage explosion ability that also damages herself.
  • Noam being a genderspecial they/them/tranny/who cares that makes double entendres often is so on the nose I'd have thought it was satire in any other context. Shockingly, significantly more likeable than both Pax and Sai.
  • As Josh pointed out, Theo is pretty normal. This automatically makes him the smartest and most level-headed member of the crew.
  • There are so many cliches ("brainwashed" enemies that spout talking points, "undocumented" immigrants, bad guys = Nazis, good guys = punk, lesbian mothers, no white protagonist but many white antagonists, etc) that people joke about to make fun of lefties... but they're played completely straight. It's mind blowing.
What's even more mind blowing is the fact that actual human beings sat down and made this and at no time during development stopped to reflect on what they were making and how it would be received. Did nobody outside of the echo chamber the devs live in play this game before it was released?? I guess not, given what we're seeing.
The notion that the best pro-right propaganda is made by leftists is stunningly accurate.

The two thing that I'd consider positives are the fact that the game is functional (sad that this is a notable positive) and the setting. I think stories that explore a fractured America have a lot of potential. To my knowledge the biggest piece of media to date that explores it was the movie "Civil War" but from my understanding it left a lot to be desired.

I love how realistic a portrayal this is, a bunch of genderspecial wokie retards hanging out together and none of them can get along or agree on anything, they constantly fight because "ahhh I am le triggered! My ADHD anxiety disability!!!" and they just passive aggressively jab at each other to vent their frustrations. Everyone is constantly miserable and depressed and you can tell they all hate each other. This is exactly what it's like having to hang out with people like this.
Glad I don't hang out with people like that. I think I'd go insane.

There's a lot of art I like that is explicitly political in ways I fundamentally disagree with. The Billy Talent song "Big Red Gun" comes to mind. Great song, but it's anti-gun. As an aside, the band is Canadian, so I really don't know what he's complaining about. The fact that art doesn't have to reinforce your personal politics to be good is completely lost on the types of people who make shit like Dustborn.

It's deeper than that. There's no trust at all anymore. You have committees reviewing everything and demanding changes based on paperwork. In the past, even if you wanted a politically-themed work of art, you'd find artists that agree with you on the topic, or are willing to agree, and pay them to build the art based on your high-level directions, provide some comments, and then trust that they will do the needful.

Now that's too heckin' problematic, and so every single line of every single script has to be anal-ized and checked and rehashed. You get nothing but pasteurized slop everytime.

watching the vod. 15 boring minutes of them sitting in a car with zero gameplay. Even if the game was good, that's a terrible introduction.

Watching Dustbin now and I genuinely don't know who this game is for. The Tumblr-types don't want this, they want Life is Strange lesbians, hot husbandos or furrybait. Nobody wants this.

I missed Bad at Video Games! Great stream!

One thing about Dustborn, it was made in Unity, not Unreal. I believe Unity 2019.4 lts, maybe 2020, witch is insane because the same developer have been working with this engine since Unity 4 from 2013.

Here some screenshots from Dreamfall Chapters made in Unity 4 - 5, released 11 years ago from the same developers, same studio even:

Dreamfall Chapters is very jank, but there is not a single frame from Dustborn that even comes close to that.

How the fuck someone devolves intro their craft like that? That is what terminal political brainrot does to you.

Maybe the devs - actual people who perform useful work, code monkeys and 3D artists, not writers, voice actors and diversity gestapo - realized early on that it will flop, so they decided to just do the bare minimum work to ship the title, and use the money saved on not having to improve assets on things more lofty than woke disaster of a game, like blowing it on cocaine, whores and alcohol.

I think it's very ironic how Sai, the character that's the most notorious thanks to her character design is one of the most tolerable/likeable ones along with Theo from the crew, at least if you make her the stoic with the Way of The Mind route (Not too sure about the other routes with her) meanwhile Pax and Noam are just dogshit and there's nothing redeemable about them.

Though, I can't wait for Null to see midget Mersh and Asian cripple woman whose whole character is her saying "Sucky sucky 5 dolla" if he gets far in the game that is.

As Josh pointed out, Theo is pretty normal. This automatically makes him the smartest and most level-headed member of the crew.
Spoiler : In one of the campfire talks you can have with him where you can explain Vox superpowers, you have a choice to explain to him "how to be an ally" to people like Pax. Pax tells him that he needs to tard wrangle her and others that have Vox abilities from chimping out due to intense emotions. Basically, if you go with this choice not only you can make him the butt of all the jokes but you can appoint him as your tard wrangler. And he does that for free
