Since the rebalance patch all enemies can be one shot by anti tank weapons if you hit the weakspot, otherwise heavily damaging them or blowing off their armor opening them to small arms fire or the like. The game is very fun again and I wholly recommend revisiting it.

Dante was also extremely petty in who got where; e.g. Pope Celestine, the last Pope prior to the present Benedict to resign (because he just wanted to live a quiet life) is heavily implied to be amongst those so base that he's not even considered worthy of rotting in Hell. The only problem is that Celestine died and was canonized about a century and a half prior to Dante's birth and is only there because Dante blames him for the state of Papal politics at the time.
