This shit is performative and for advertisers only. They even say you don't even need water in your kiddie pool in the background in order to dance around in lingerie because you're "basically at the beach". They are probably trying to skirt some payment processor guidelines on pornography. While still exposing kids to softcore pornography, because that pays them the big bucks. Anyone who cries that this is "puritanical censorship" is either so brainrotten that you think women dancing around in fetish gear on a website for kids is "just fine" or they have never actually taken a look at Twitch content.

That's why credit cards got any adoption at all. The merchant paying the fees made them competitive with cash.
