This is sort of a thing in that popular action roguelike game, Hades. You sometimes encounter Sisyphus on runs, with the boulder at the bottom of the hill. If you play enough runs, you find out the boulder is alive, his name is Bouldy, and he's got gay vibes with his friendliness.

With regard to rape penalties, a large reason it doesn't carry similar sentencing to murder is that most rapes don't end in murder and if the two crimes were punished in the same way, there's not much reason not to kill the victim too because it makes covering things up easier and you're now down a witness, often the most important one. This applies to kidnapping as well.
