Final bit of tech drama I'm repooosting from the Open Source Thread, this time concerning Winamp
Winamp of Winamp 2.95 fame recently open sourced their music player, You might be ecstatic that your favorite program from Windows XP will be maintained by the community and get better and bett... STOP, Just check out this license. Here's some interesting snippets:

  • Contribution to Project: You are encouraged to contribute improvements, enhancements, and bug fixes back to the project. Contributions must be submitted to the official repository and will be reviewed and incorporated at the discretion of the maintainers.

You might wonder, how for project hosted on GitHub, a developer is both supposed to be encouraged to contribute AND prohibited from making a fork. Just this line skyrocketed the repo's fork counter to 234 (as of posting and still counting). Additionally, a clause like this is against GitHub ToS. (For uninitiated, providing contributions on GH requires a fork) But that's not the best part.
The best part is by releasing WinAmps source code they accidentally leaked:

If you ever wondered what happened to Winamp after NullSoft, they got bought by AOL and later by Radionomy and Targetspot (Ad company), which it's CEO said he had great plans for WinAmp, mainly making it a Web Client and a music NFT marketplace.
Edit: If it makes you sad, consider using WACUP, community patches to base Winamp instead.

Please tone it down, I don't want Winamp to regret opensourcing

If you pair his recent comments about cheating with him growing closer to Destiny and his past music video full of nigger behavior where he pretends like smoking makes him cool as he talks himself up in front of cars it becomes very clear he is coming into his own as a true lolcow that might rival both even Queen Cuck Bonell and Lord Balldo in due time if just left to his own devices.

Of course he still has time to course correct, but so did so many others before him.

Suggest topics here without tagging null and people will call you a retardfaggot if it’s already been done.

Honestly I hope he does. Him sticking to the truth when Pyrocynical was outed as a sex pest and everyone else in the commentary community kowtowed and later being willing to give the farms a bit of a platform during a time it was persona non-grata gave me a bit of respect for him. It's disappointing his success translated into him becoming a wigger and learning nothing from the countless lolcows he's done videos on, especially Balldo.

I think the same guy who is cool with cheating might also be cool with lying; moles don't migrate in my experience, and the mole patterns on these 2 faces are divergent enough to assume he was posting a false image. The overall bone structure, hair texture, eyebrows, nose bridge, nose width, vermillion, and philtrum are off. Angles can be tricky, but if you only want to focus on the lips, especially the top lip, that is the real giveaway. It's the kind of thing that registers subliminally to many people.
