Jim still is selling merch, and he is loved by many, it doesn't seem like a few thousand dollars would move him one way or another to threaten his base by doing so.

What grates me is knowing if I even call something for what it is, I have to deal with weeks of whinging. the big fucking deal is 2 threads and 4 comment spaces being used by people to exclusive complain that I've spoken Father Jim's name without adoration and in a tone they prefer not to hear. Literally, the tone of my speaking was deemed too sour given the context of sharing space with Father Jim.

Was catching up on the stream dated 19 July 2024 today. I genuinely caught the contagious sleep energy from Ralph and had to pause the vod to nap for an hour. Worked better than sleep medication, I swear.

@Null someone recommended No Man's Sky (3h 22m) and within seconds you went off on a tangent to talk about shooters. The update brought back tonnes of players, and it's just the first big batch. Pretty exciting :)

If you've got 5-6 minutes, this is worth a watch to give you a sample of the latest changes:

I haven't played it since last year and I've heard there's been several huge updates since (not including the most recent). Highly recommend avoiding spoilers on those if you've also taken a good time away from the game as you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Admittedly, NMS isn't a good shooter. It's the custom starships, weapons and biomes, and the sandbox open-universe that's the beauty, for now. Pick it up again. I know I will.

It's cheaper to prevent pregnancy than to abort it. I don't understand someone who can seriously say they prefer abortion over contraceptives. It's more expensive, invasive, distasteful, and unpopular then investing into preventative measures and solving the problem before it becomes one.

As a society, I think everyone sane finds abortion to be bad, but some view it as a necessary evil. If the problem can be solved without that necessary evil, why would we not push for that?

I'm just asking for the curiosity of it. You present an interesting point that there's reasonable (three streams) that would imply incentive.
It would put all this shit together. Who did give Jim back his monetization? Was it indeed Keem? Because according to Jim it just happened and "i guess Youtube just likes making fun of fat people" (or whatever the exact quote was)
If he was paid for appearance that would further bolster that idea that Jim is being dishonest or at the very least, loosely tongue in cheek.

It's a guess on your part and I'm not an "opp"; I think the majority of the users of this site who support you would agree that if you were wrong or right it wouldn't be jealousy. Jealous of what? You don't have broken ribs, not dying of cancer, and you have people who will buy your merch pretty much every time.
We appreciate what you do. I asked because I know someone would see it, and that's why i asked, since I know I could set myself in fire in the middle of Madison square with the words "was Jim paid?" on my chest and no one would care to respond even then.

It's not about Jim fans, they can be, and usually are crazy; I understand not wanting to upset them, but the opportunity for laughs is pretty good if your hunch is right.
