I agree that omniscience does not necessarily imply predestination.

But what is in dispute is precisely what does omniscience imply?

If the future is to some degree "open" (aka unsettled), then divine omniscience entails the denial of exhaustively definite foreknowledge.

The first part of that is true.

The second part is not necessarily true. See "open theism".

Whether open theism is compatible with Christianity is controversial.

In short, open theism posits that since God and humans are free, God's knowledge is dynamic and God's providence flexible. Whereas several versions of traditional theism picture God's knowledge of the future as a singular, fixed trajectory, open theism sees it as a plurality of branching possibilities, with some possibilities becoming settled as time moves forward.[8][9] Thus, the future, as well as God's knowledge of it, is open (hence, "open" theism).

In the "open future view", as well as in open theism in general, the future can and does change.

Open Theism Model:

1. Open theism says the future is at least partly open. Meaning that while some things are predetermined, other things depend on the actions of free individuals.

2. Open theism claims God's omniscience reflects everything that can be known, including all possible outcomes and potential futures.

3. God knows all outcomes of the choices that you might make, but God does not know what you will choose until after you choose it. This gives you free will and leaves the future partially "open".

In this model, God knows all the potential lives that I might live, all the choices I might make, all the tragedies and triumphs that might await me, but does not know whether or not I will go hiking tomorrow.

He doesn't know what I will choose tomorrow because at least some statements about future contingents presently fail to be either true or false, and thus are presently unknowable.

I watched a bit of PKA around the time of the Rittenhouse trials and Kyle was parroting the narrative of how Rittenhouse should be punished for crossing state lines, shooting black people etc. Though what really stood out was Kyle would constantly talk about how much of a coomer he is, trying to create pills to make people coom harder (this is not a joke, he literally tried to make pills to make men have more cum), he could do nothing but fantasize about getting off of probation so he could go smoke weed and do drugs in Colorado, and he constantly talked about how much he lusted after F1nnster in multiple episodes. That's actually the first place I heard about F1nnster, long before any of the KF stuff came out.

One other thing that comes to mind now that was seen as an edgy joke back in the day, is during the Epstein thing he made comments about whether or not "child pussy" was so good it was worth going to jail for because all of the rich and powerful were being caught up in the scandal. It was framed as a dark humor, but as we've seen with others that's usually a bad sign and from everything I've seen of the guy now I wouldn't be surprised if he was another Goon Clown.

Yeah, it's really not hard to adopt definitions of divine omnipotence and omniscience that exclude the obviously impossible and the epistemologically harmful.

The epitome of m'lady internet atheist smugness is "could god create a boulder so heavy that even he couldn't lift it?! Bam gottem." But all you need is a definition of omnipotence that defines it as anything that's LOGICALLY possible. And people might say, well then that god isn't technically omnipotent, to which I would say, what are we doing with this useless word that can never be applied to anything, since apparently it encompasses the impossible? What exactly is being conceded by saying the omnipotence you're talking about is just one step below that?

And the same would apply to omniscience. If your definition ruins what is ostensibly the whole meaning of life (exercising free will and choosing the side of good), then get a new definition.

MATI used to have the best superchat segment a year or two ago, genuinely amusing part of the stream that I looked forward to. There's a decent amount of cringe there now though imo.
