Why? How important is this? What if I test in Sofia and move it, or what if I move the dish to the US after a while?

It's not a policy issue, and that recommendation comes from our Starlink rep, though I would say it's more a hold-over from older VSAT systems using iDirect modems (large Ku spot beams) rather than applying to Starlink. When connected to the network, you'll at all times have active connections to three Starlink satellites with primacy over your hex (vote-based consensus I believe), which hand-off every few minutes or so. Despite having GPS onboard, Starlink terminals don't actually use this for location determination, so their exact location is a bit fuzzy to the constellation to account for the Earth's imperfections.

I do not believe you will run into an issue if you use your service, prior to returning to your hovel with a stream closet.

We've tested it both ways, provisioning before shipping and at final install location. In general first time setup *seems* to be overall more reliable, though we've never figured out why. I suspect it's related to your terminal ID needing its global access tables updated when the terminal is off for moderate amounts of time, where there's ambiguity whether you need a full re-provision from the network or not.

Mobile terminals constantly update their "home region" in the background, which I believe there are 8? global regions they bin themselves into. Moving to the US region from Europe will (after ~1 week) prompt you to update your address, I've never encountered any change between global regions, other than US speeds are in general slightly lower due to it having the highest density of use.

How's that supposed to work
It won't. Suggesting using a remote machine to do the streams is idiotic, because Null's main bottleneck is still the network connection. Remote desktop requires plenty of bandwidth to be low latency, both in video and audio, and low latency remote desktop audio is insanely hard to pull off. Not to mention that there is no way to interface local audio devices with remote machines. The whole RDP/VNC suggestion is idiotic and will create more problems than it'll solve. It's good for remote administration and that's about it.

Null's main issue, besides the wonky connection, is that he somehow completely fucked up his audio setup compared to when he was streaming before the hiatus. Remember, he has a Shure SM7B, which should sound fucking stellar and radio-y, and also he has the meme setup of a 3rd gen Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 and a Cloudlifter CL-1 because Internet talking heads have no idea about pro audio and proliferate this idiotic overpriced setup. But anyways, it worked for Null, he sounded fantastic on previous streams. Listen to MATI archives from March this year and compare them to the one from yesterday.

If Null wants to fix his stream audio, he has to reach out to some pro audio spergs on the forum to help him out in what exactly he's doing wrong that he's making the Shure SM7-fucking-B sound like a cheap headset mic. Is it a hardware issue? Is it a software issue? Is it a room issue because he's now streaming from a closet? But that would require actually taking time to describe the issue and do tedious back-and-forths in a I&T thread to properly diagnose the issue remotely.

No, my question is: "CP" stands for "Child Pornography", but they just refer to it as "'p", which I assume would just mean pornography. Why does child pornography need a cutesy nickname that removes the subject?
Soyjak Party just likes to randomly abbreviate things for some reason. Discord --> 'cord, Soyjak --> 'jak, CP --> 'P are some examples, and of course the more unnecessary and obfuscating the abbreviation the better.

It's dey culcha. As you know the sharty is full of retarded 16-20 year olds. They say things like "new 'jak" instead of "new soyjak" and "it's on the 'ru" instead of "it's on the booru". And since they have/had a CP problem they call it 'p spam. I don't believe there's any malicious intent in changing the term, since they were the ones who put together the information that exposed the problem just like kiwifarms put together the information exposing zoosadist. What you're saying now is basically equivalent to troons accusing the forum of facilitating the material in the first place. Unless I'm missing something, I don't think it's the sharty's fault, however I do understand your reluctance to talk about it.

TLDR a bunch of videos on youtube with hundreds of thousands of views had coded messages and links to CP and the sharty brought this to light. I agree with you that you should report it to the authorities, and I'm split on whether or not you should discuss it.

Honestly I don't think it's worth talking about it beyond the abstract. The channel is Indonesian, so 99% (I don't know your real analytics) of this site was never going to find that without being shown through an outside source. However, once you see that channel you can definitely put together the pieces, especially with the outline of the process these people are using to hide their stash. If you just don't show anything from the post itself and don't get into any specifics with names you'd probably be okay in not exposing people who wouldn't already seek it out to harmful material, but at that point I'm not sure how worth discussing it is past "This is happening, it's bad, people called the cops, you shouldn't look at it" if at all.

Once again, you're asking me to advertise how to find child pornography on YouTube. I am not doing that. Stop bothering me.

It's basically the same as the monkey torture """"people"""" using those videos as a front to share cp. Though I don't recall any hard evidence of that, I can believe it nonetheless.

Anyone have the link to that video of the tranny slapping the phone out of that guy's hands that was on MATI yesterday? Didn't see what the source was.
