I do have to admit that the process of selecting an embryo/surrogate is somewhat dystopian in its face, however, the way I see it, we as humans constantly make these calculations subconsciously and consciously when dating. We're hard-wired to look for attractive and stable people. In effect, when you break down signs of attraction — fitness, able-bodiedness, symmetry, skin color — we are engaging in the process of selection. Despite the act of looking for an embryo or surrogate with criteria being bizarre — and I must admit that — I think it's much the same as any other mate selection process in our lives.

I would say that a lot of people don't want to adopt because it's effectively a lucky dip of often fucked genetics and mental health issues. Often kids that are in the foster system have come from traumatic childhoods or have loser druggie parents. It makes sense why someone would rather create their own rather than potentially adopt someone who has or may later develop problems.

I think Josh should just get a cat. I prefer cats to dogs though, so I might be a bit biased here.

If you do get a dog though, please make sure to walk and play with it especially if you don't have a back yard. Half my family gets dogs to have something cute around but don't actually bother to give them the attention they need. I really don't like that.

The only legitimate reason why homosexuals were not satisfied with civil unions instead of marriage is that the covenant between man and woman to raise child has been perverted by the modern state so that it enjoys unimpeachable legal protection, and homosexuals also wish to be protected like this. Instead of forcing everyone else to bend, in order to suit your twisted ideal of equality, you should have worked to build up civil unions to have the same legal protections as marriage. But as you say, doing the right thing is hard. It's so much easier to force big government, which has the monopoly on force, to do what you want and triumph over your perceived enemies instead.

Is Null aware of Bandcamp? You get lossless audio as well, and the artists directly get at least 80% of what you pay (100% on BC Fridays, which happens the first Friday of every month).
I dunno if there's a recommendation algorithm but when you find something you like, you can go through the purchase history of other people who have bought that album, and that can be a good way to find more relevant stuff. It takes a bit more dedication so probably not ideal for a chronically busy person like Null.

If surrogacy goes wrong it can create a whole bunch of issues. What if the woman gives birth to twins?
What if the baby turns out to be disabled? What if the surrogate mother changes her mind?
Not to mention surrogate mothers almost always get treated like shit.
Just look at Ukraine. Even during war they would not stop their human trafficking surrogacy business because it's lucrative:

Ok, thank you Null for going the points of the Maddox video, I've always found Maddox insufferable in audio. I didn't want to comment on it with out at least knowing the jist of his claims.

Ok, I spoilered it cause it turned into a rant as I listen to Null go over it and I went on a bit much. TL: DR none of this is compelling, Maddox is still a disingenuous liar who can't even selectively twist the facts in a presentation he entirely controls to seem legitimate in anything he's done in the last 8 years.

I don't hate Dick, I was a huge fan, I'm only here on the Farms because of him, I think he's become insufferable and I'll never be interested in his content ever again.

Remaining Quiet This is probably the biggest lie that'll be in the video. That is outright rewriting history. Maddox didn't remain quiet on the break up. Maddox fired the first shot in the Dick Lies video, appealing to their faggy LA comedy clique and not the edgey BPITU fans.(probably cause he was trying to get Dick cancelled) And he got his asshole blown the fuck out for it. Maddox would of petered out to irrelevancy slower and Dick probably wouldn't of blown up so quickly if it weren't for Dick Lies. Maddox was quiet cause he turned the majority of his fanbase against him, and would get ridicules if he tried to spew more bullshit.

Maddox made shocking little money for as well known and influential as he was. He doesn't get why, he thinks his content was popular and he should just be given money for it. When someone tangential to him makes money, he sees that as his money that should of been given to him even though he never worked for it. When it's someone antagonistic to him, he sees it as being stolen from. Maddox was a massive lolcow(now he's a hasbeen one, but if he keeps up thing on the offensive he might be fertile milking again), Dick capitalized on that cause there was a huge demand for it. A lot of content creators did(like EZPZ or the previously attacked Whang) and moved on, Dick made a cottage industry out of it because it had an audience.

Ok we get to a big middle point where Null acknowledges that all of these parts are nonsense. I disagree with his assessment that Maddox had a case had he narrowed the focus of the lolsuit, but that's off topic.

80's Girl It's fucking laughable to assume that the break up wasn't over 80's Girl. Yeah, I also wouldn't want to hook back up with an ex after she hooked up with a friend of mine. That doesn't mean I wouldn't be extremely upset over it. Like it's a perfectly reasonable reason to not want to work with someone, if they hooked up with someone you hadn't moved on from. They're in their right to do it, but I also don't want to associate with them after. So now Maddox is saying he completely blew up the last successful venture he had and starting an extremely antagonistic conflict that destroyed his career over... Nothing? Dick Man Bad? I don't have much to say on the Lolsuit cause Landau is such a massive fuck up himself, it's hard to say who is more responsible for it being a farce. Maddox might of gotten some sympathy for it if he threw Landau under the bus for setting against deep pockets and ruining his chance at justice, but if he's rage sticking up for it as a legitimate complaint, he deserves no credibility.
