I know it's probably low on the priority list but are we ever gonna get an updated RSS? I liked having my MATI play through the theater of the mind

Edit: Disregard I'm retarded and was on the wrong one

Josh's musings on the end of the Information Age and the dawn of the Machine Age reminded me of an old series of 4chan posts I read ages ago, perhaps on this very website. Does anyone have a saved copy? I remember the post started with an image of Charlie Brown witnessing the downfall of humanity from Evangelion. From what I remember, the poster essentially said that the "Machine Age" has already been around for a while now. It started with computer algorithms predicting changes in the stock market but eventually the script got flipped and now the algorithm itself is what drives the changes in the market. Eventually people's politics become intertwined into what kinds of products they buy and what shows they watch (😒) and now the algorithms are essentially marketing entire lifestyles to people, eventually influencing broader society as a whole.

And apparently we cannot stop or even edit these algorithms because they've become too unwieldy and bloated for their own good. They've evolved well past their intended design and any attempt to stop them could result in total economic collapse. Shit like this is far beyond my ability to control, so the best thing I can do to resist this is to block out all advertisements and commercials, and limit as much information as I can about my browsing and spending habits. Perhaps by feeding this algorithm the wrong kind of data, or starving it entirely, we can turn things around.

No idea why he thought Kanye apologized. Kanye hates being called crazy so he’s never blame it on his mental health.

You're thinking of the post series where an anon explains his theory that all most stock market buy and sell signals are machine automated and they create a feedback loop, to the point where trying to disconnect them from each other would collapse the market instantly, so now it just runs completely arbitrary.

That's not true I don't think. With Blackrock in particular, they specifically design algorithms to enforce high values of publicly traded companies with the best corporate ethics towards the LGBTQIAP+.

I think this is what you're looking for.

The Aladdin System is around 30 years old, I could very much see the current people working on it/running it not having 100% knowledge of how everything works and not wanting to break something by unplugging one system from another.

Even consensual BDSM is simulated rape and sexual abuse, and retards need to stop pretending it isn't. If you get off on pretending that you're raping someone, guess what the fuck that makes you. It's similar and not any better than drawn or shooped child porn; they're still pedophiles getting off on the simulation of doing the real thing. It's also such a dangerous murk that sadists and rapists can and do exploit. Tons of real rape porn gets a free pass by being labeled as BDSM while using various means like codewords, obvious symptoms and curated reference lists so that the people looking for the real thing can find it. It's a big fucking clue when the rapists and sometimes the victims have their faces obscured, and that's where the mask thing originated. Unquestionable when the faces are edited out post-production or just cropped off-frame entirely.
"No no occifer, I didn't know it was rape porn of a missing teenager, I thought it was BDSM! Are you the puritan police now?"
"No no occifer, I was just pretending to rape her and I thought she was just RPing real good by crying and begging me to stop!"

Fuck off.

I do believe that the post series was true to some extent, back when the Amazon forest was experiencing quiet a few forest fires and the media was reporting on it nonstop Amazon stocks took a big hit. It was theorized that the bots that work in the stock market picked up the negative connotation with "Amazon" and started dumping stock.

The way I see it, nothing's inherently wrong with two consenting adults doing kinky shit, but it's undeniable that a lot of people who are deep into BDSM tend to be pretty fucked up people in one way or another. The porn industry is another subject entirely, and you're one hundred percent right about that.
From what I've seen while looking at that community, there's a lot of problems with sexual predators just saying they're dominants or something and finding broken women to mess with. To me, that's a big difference to a married couple with a pair of handcuffs or some toys or whatever. One is a way to spice things up, the other is a predator taking advantage of a frankly retarded community to prey on other insane people.

One is a way to spice things up
I wouldn't downplay rape simulation as "spicing things up". If a guy can get off by pretending to abuse and even rape his wife, that's fucked and shouldn't need explaining why it's fucked. He's getting sexual gratification from simulating violating and hurting someone, his own wife, in the most repulsive way possible. It's sadistic and predatory. A cat might be playing with feather toys all his life and never catch a mouse, but that doesn't make him any less of a predator by nature. "Play is prey" and all that, even if he knows the feather toy isn't alive. It's simulation of the kill. Dudes who want to be "dommed" by their wives are their own whole other breed, but at least they generally aren't a threat in that context.

"Subs" are mentally ill people of very few sorts:
The first are abuse/assault survivors with a 'survivor's defect' that compels them to normalize sexual abuse as a coping mechanism to downplay what happened to them. Those seem to make up the bulk of the "subs" who actually go through with anything beyond the least painful gross shit like spanking and pretending to be tiny children or pets.
The second are psychologically stunted, usually sheltered people who can't wrap their heads around how traumatic sexual abuse is and want to make it into some edgy, risque little game. These ones generally consumed a lot of rape hentai growing up, especially yaoi and other shit that makes it seem so uwu soft-but-hard while just generally normalizing it from a distance.
The third are damaged and desperate people (generally women and teenage girls) who just do it because it gets them a lot of very in-depth male sexual attention, and they don't know how else to get attention that their warped minds can perceive of as "love".
So they're pretty much all either broken shells, Tumblrinas or bundles of daddy issues.
The outliers are the women who just endure it because they're afraid that their husbands will cheat on them and/or leave them if they don't do whatever sexually depraved shit he wants her to in order to "spice things up", but those are becoming more and more common because of how progressively pornsick men are getting in this age. The therapy dollars raked in from those women alone would make your head spin. They type of horseshit that a lot of shrinks tell those women just to keep them coming back to spend those dollars is what makes my head spin.

I've seen more of all of these kinds of cases than I care to dwell much on (yet here I am). This entire niche of the field is a dumpster baby of Pandora's box and a particularly nasty can of worms. Obviously it's not my place or the law's place to tell two actual consenting adults what they're allowed to get up to in their bedroom, but I absolutely can and will talk about why it's fucked in the head, harmful and immoral. Subs especially need to be told what the hell is actually going on, whether or not the person telling them is getting paid to do so.

ETA: Yes, I agree with you that there are vastly varying degrees of severity and harm in this matter. But I disagree that the lesser ones are totally innocent.
