Would you ever do a Sons of Kojima stream? there doesn't seem to be any good longform content on their rise and fall or on Fred. Or do you wanna avoid the autism that comes with DSP?

Also would you ever for the gumroad put up stuff thats; what you find funny in a cow, your preparation process for people streams, or things you left out of people streams because they never really fit in well?

I really hate Youtubers with gay-ass cartoon avatars too. That smug, crossed-arms pose that they all do or the le wacky expressions some make. It instantly puts me off. At least Nicholas's is fat like his real self is.

The cartoon thing is bad enough. What really annoys me is the constant pixar-facing and "anti-hero/villainous" depiction they all seem to have.

Some coverage of the sons of Kojima would be interesting due to how bizarre and explosive the conclusion of it all was.

Still can't believe Phil probably totally got away with bankruptcy fraud. Does anyone know what the criminal statute of limitations is on that? Would be jokes if he got slammed with an indictment like 4.5 years after his discharge date because the criminal fraud charge had a 5 year statute.

Even if somebody bothers to got through all that with a fine toothed comb and finds some massive discrepancy the worst that will happen is Phil will say he's just fat and stupid and his lawyer didn't properly tell him how to do shit and he might get shifted to the not as good bankruptcy but that's a tiny ass chance anything will happen with the original thing at this point and the chance for him to get any time out of it is pretty much zero. It's done, nobody objected then when they all had their chance, it's over, he got away with it, let it go.

Fuck the bankers! I hope they don't see a single red cent of the money Phil owes them, and I hope that he gets away with it too!

My ears are bad. Null keeps talking about something like... donation works? A Russian site? it seemed just right for something I was considering but I think I have the name wrong.

Fuck man, relax. I'm expressing mild irritation here, not a-logging DSP the pig-roach, or whatever he gets called now a days. The feds just have a habit of hitting you with charges pretty close to the statute of limitations if they decide they're going to. Frankly, I'm somewhat impressed with Phil's ability to live in relative comfort while mostly dodging the consequences of his conduct, he's a savvy guy in a weird, greasy way.

I'm not upset with you and am sorry if it came across like that it wasn't supposed to them's just the breaks.

That was my intention but, unfortunately, I don't think Jim Watkins is dead either - I was tricked because I am an idiot. Sorry for the double-whammy.
Which Jim? The link to the comment is dead or fucked because the DDoS attack.

It was a joke article about Jim Watkins being dead. I deleted it because I was a moron and didn't read it before sharing. If you're interested it is here (archive). It is pretty funny, got to say - plus they got me good.

Also, I'll link to MATI episode "Goodbye Jim" in case people haven't watched it - it is a good one.

There's too many Jims doing things it's plain confusing. I vote that we downsize in the Jim space by at least 41%.

Just wanted to add something about national-socialism since Josh half-jokes about it from time to time. Specifically wanted to say a few things about german national-socialist economy miracle. Or, rather, a fictional "miricale".
Basically, in a few words:
1. It was an inner circle of ultra-rich industrialists like Krupp, granted they all were essentially ordered around by Hitler, but still, but it was a closed club. Krupp, Opel, IG Farben, Messerschmitt AG, Rheinmetall AG, Reichswerke Hermann Goring etc. benefited greately by being the exclusive recepients of government contracts.
2. If someone disagreed, like Heinkel, they were were dealt with and their business overtaken and divided inside the club.
3. Most of the 30s industrial growth was paved by the systematic actions of previous german governments of Weimar.
4. Autobahn and other major employement programms were partially fictious. Erich Koch probably is the best example- when he was Gauleiter of Prussia he forced 30 000 people, at least in part mental assylums and prison inmates, to pretend to work on the Autobahn to satisfy the statistic.
5. MEFO bills. Better read up on your own, but essentially the industialist fascist club rearment was paid in promices of future payments by the MEFO company which was formally not affiliated with the goverment. All of this was backed by the Reichsbank and headed by Helmar Schacht. They were making tanks out of thin air in hopes that they'll get paid once they conquer other territories.
6. Slave economy. Yes, one can say that it might have been partially forced by manpower shortages due to the war, but the fact remains the same- Albert Speer oversaw the transition of economy into slave state with millions of forced workers. The official statistic says that only from the USSR they took about 7mil slaves by the 1944.
7. The robber economy. I think this is pretty clear from the previously stated.
Bonus: high officers of all services were taking huge "gifts" directly from the Hitler or NSDAP which were deposited into swiss accounts. The most greedy one was, if I remember correctly, admiral Raeder.
Thank you for reading my austic sperging out, just wanted to debunk some myths with FACTS and LOGIC.

Yeah the MEFO bills were not only f*** up, but also eerily reminiscent of some current day policies.

MEFO request

I got a request to comment on Nazi MEFO bills, which I've done elsewhere in the past and it's a story that needs to be retold and hammered in to public consciousness as some people actually still buy the fiction that Nazi economics works.

Starting in the Weimar period the German Society for Public Works, AG (in german Deutsche Gesellschaft für öffentliche Arbeiten AG) was founded in 1930. It was a sham corporation, a shell with insufficient capital that nonetheless was permitted to issue OEFFA bonds. In fact, that was its whole point of being. The bonds were rediscounted by the German Reichsbank, which meant that the state issued cash in exchange for worthless paper, creating money at a time when Germany still had a gold peg. The scheme was not detected at the time and formed the basis for a number of parallel schemes for other purposes.

The most sinister of the lot was the MEFO bill which was used to secretly finance rearmament in violation of the Versailles treaty. The amount of MEFO bills in circulation and their value was a state secret but at peak was about 12 billion Reichsmarks of the things floating about at a time when the published figures for official German debt was only 19 billion Reichsmarks. The bills carried a 4% rate if held to maturity so in the generally deflationary times, many receivers of MEFO bills held on to them instead of immediately presenting them to a German bank for payment.

By issuing bonds for which there was no underlying asset, Germany could formally keep its gold peg while floating what were in essence parallel currencies in the form of these bills which could be, but often were not converted back to Reichsmarks because of the interest rates that they carried. This only works for so long though. Eventually, the chickens started coming home to roost sufficiently to alarm the Reichsbank president, Hjalmar Schacht, the major author of the plan. He demanded that the plan be wound down. Instead, Hitler dismissed Schacht from the presidency of the Reichsbank in January 1939 and 8 months later invaded Poland while instituted a policy of looting to finance the war. Thus was born the term "Nazi gold", which is a shorthand term that meant looted gold from Nazi victims of all types.
