Honestly I think the PPP rant is completely fair. There has never been any evidence of any of the shit he claimed and people still think josh is like some autistic leader of the forum, cunningly influencing threads depending on how he thinks of the person. Don't you remember that really cringe stream PPP did a few months ago "the trial of josh moon" or some shit. Where he asks why josh doesn't have his own thread on his hugbox site, when there's like 3 of them, which are all dead, because he's not a lolcow.
PPP is literally too retarded to lose weight. I don't care how much of the bible you've memorized, if you're too stupid to figure out your own health, you don't get to lecture me on anything.

All of those three things are solvable. There's no FBI waiting to arrest Josh as soon as he leaves the plane, so he could buy a ticket back to the US and find a job in IT, which pays well enough to find a decent woman to start a family. But he doesn't do this. And that's okay; he has his own reasons. I just think it's a bad look when you criticize someone for not doing something you yourself don't do.

Mental gymnastics. Many Swedes think of their country (which is overrun by non-Swedes) as a post-nation country. Doesn't make a difference, though. You can't demand from a man to put his native country first, but when asked to do the same, say "but my country is shitty, I don't want to!" That's hypocrisy.

Looks like it is just whatever tribe they were exposed to early on, which is why it's different on each side or adopted. The Russians and English took the Roman word for the southern tribe, the French encountered the west tribe and spread it to the Arabs, and the East Slavs met the East tribes.

It's because ever time he says something about glorious Nippon or anything they make or do it will prompt pages and pages of people being all offended and going on about how people don't understand and it's not like that at all. It's only Japan. He shits on the British, he shits on the French, he shits on any place you can name, nobody really takes offense but oh no, not Japan. If anyone is interested in how Japan came to be the way it is, there's a really great book called 'embracing defeat' by John Dower.

It details how Douglas MacArthur redesigned every aspect of Japanese society, not just the Government, but the press, education, unions, how business operated, the courts, womens rights (women went overnight from essentially being male appendages to having full civil rights) he changed the architecture, provision of social services everything.

By the time MacArthur was replaced in 1951 everything in Japan was the way it was because Douglas MacArthur wanted it that way. He answered to no one, and the Japanese government and civil service did exactly what he said.

Yet now in Japan there isn't a single decent japanese language book on MacArthur or even the occupation.

its easy to trigger weebs, who are generally more autistic than the average person. I don't personally agree with his take but it is certainly based and there certainly is a subsection of anime fans who are creepy pedophiles, so whatever. I'm secure enough in myself to laugh it off, because it is genuinely funny.

Its just nostalgia. I had a good time with Fable 2 as a kid, and that game is shit.
 
The way weebs dodge pedo accusations is funny.
It’s pointing out how the manchildren in competing genres have pedos in their midst too.

Obviously I’ve liked anime but I’m not in live with it and I’m not so malleable that I let it bleed into my mind. And seeing people who do let that happen enjoy a similar hobby to mine made me re-evaluate.

I liked anime when I was younger, but at some point I decided it was basically the pinnacle of unhealthy escapism. The anime people have a lot invested in not living in real life so they don't wanna hear that.

Alongside this, it's really understated just how much Japan was changed by the West before WWII with the Meiji Restoration. In 1853, Japan was still isolated from nearly all outside contact and trade so they could stay trad and sheeeiiitt with Samurai butt-fucking each other (seriously), but thankfully the U.S. Navy went to Japan with gunboats to forcefully reopen them for trade, and tell them to stop being literally gay, rice-picking, retarded monkeys still living in a fucking agrarian society.

Japan woke the fuck up when it saw just how much the world had changed, and learned of the West's Imperial game; either be an Empire, or become a colony of one. The West was very interested in Japanese culture and art, even at that time (the Japonisme trend), though when you consider how fucking degenerate places like Victorian Britain were, its exactly like Japanophiles today! While Western powers were willing to help supply/build Japan, it also meant they really wanted to colonize/colon-ize them (Samurai style :smug:).

So, Japan scrambled to avoid becoming the next China by changing literally fucking everything. The entire society just starting copying and importing the West however they could, doing shit like going from an almost entirely vegetarian society for over 1000 years to suddenly eating meat. The pushback from the people was so huge (understandably) that it was a factor for the mindset which eventually led to Japan becoming fascist. Within 40 years of first meeting the U.S. Navy, Japan went from an agrarian society, to a modern Westernized Empire.

It's important to remember that the reason that Japan attacked the US was that the war in China was going badly for them. Japanese leadership decided that because a war was going badly they needed to start another one.

In the middle of the great depression Japan was spending up to 20% of it's GDP on it's military. That was insane, the Japanese economy was a basket case, that couldn't even develop the territories that they had already conquered.

Assasination of civillian politicians and even Generals and Admirals by right wing nutters was a common occurance, the Emperor was weak and easily controlled.

Japanese government and institutions were a mess. Industry was run by a clique of Zaibatsu that strangled innovation.

In May 1945, the Japanese military still thought they'd be able to negotiate a peace treatey that would leave them Korea, Taiwan and Mnchuria. Instead of asking Sweden or Switzerland for help negotiating for peace, they turned to the USSR, in return they were going to offer Stalin 'fishing concessions'.

They were fucking dumb, and MacArthur job was to make sure that Japan would never become a problem again, which he did.

I'm mostly just adding further context for people, with Japan being the way it currently is because of entire overhauls by westerners & their influence that goes back far earlier and is far greater than many people realize, both politically and culturally.
