I would not consider myself an otaku as I don't watch anime regularly and generally don't like moeshit. I recommended some good anime with what I believe to be sensible advice because you indicated a previous interest in ghost in the shell which is similar to psycho pass. I don't just randomly tell strangers to watch anime. As I said before, there's no need to be so radical and biased. All that is gold does not glitter, not all those who wander are lost. The old that is strong does not wither, deep roots are not touched by the frost. Keep a level head, judge fairly, and you'll be sure to find something to appreciate.
That and people just love to share stories. I forget how often I've had to listen to people recommend the Wire or Breaking Bad or Game of Thrones or some other sitcom or movie to me.

Weebs aren't anything unusual. People just like to build common frame of references to aid in communication and social bonding.

And I get that. But with that one friend he became very pushy and indignant when I didn't want to watch anime anymore. Like it was a betray to him personally. That I don't get.

I like telling people about how I want to graft more types of citrus to my navel orange tree and make a "fruit salad tree". But I mention it in passing and I don't start going into all the details of the research I've done and which types of citrus I'd like to use, and what sort of grafting method I'm thinking of using, etc. Because my friends don't care about gardening and don't need to hear about all that; and I know I'd just bore the shit out of them talking about it. But this just doesn't seem the case with some people who will talk your ear off about stuff you've told them you have no interest in, in the hope that they can change your mind.

There's a difference between saying "here's something I liked and maybe you might like it too" and saying "here's something I like and you have to like it too!" And I've just heard too much of the latter of late.

I do apologize for being short with you for your suggestion before tho. That was uncalled for. I'm just at that point where I feel that I can't not want to be part of some hobby or franchise without someone in my life demanding to know why I'm not.

She tries to seduce the father. It's played for laughs. However, having a little girl specifically talk about her own sex appeal is really gross. Perhaps it could be argued that somehow I'm "projecting my own corrupted view of the world on to this pure creation". However, the incest obsessed brother character points more toward the author being the standard flavor of jap degenerate.
The former is entirely you reading too much into a fairly standard “kids trying to act adult while not understanding it” joke. The latter is, from the context of the story, an absolutely antagonistic force yo both sides of the main character’s life, and is not to be taken seriously or sympathetically outside what is clearly an exaggerated character.

Sounds like you know an autist.

Some people just be like that. I think they just have nothing else to talk about or nobody else to talk about it with. Connect the person with other weebs and see if the hassle lightens up.

OK, you're forgiven. :drink: Though both series were some great time travel stories.

Also in all this discussion of anime... so live action adaptations are to be preferred then since they "redeem" the cartoons into 3D?

With the anime avatars, it’s also of note that if you have a Goku, Vegeta, or Naruto avatar, you are black. Or Mexican.

That anime bit on the last MATI really stuck for a lot of people it seems. Really rubbed them the wrong way.

Imo, it’s fine if you like anime, as anime, (like autism) is a spectrum. If you do like anime, don’t be a weeb. Once you are a weeb, that’s when shit gets weird.

Anyone freaking out, protesting too much, or name calling all anime viewers names, is either joking, trying hard or maybe a mix, etc, Don’t get butthurt about people saying “everyone who likes anime is a paedo, etc,” the same way you don’t get butthurt about people saying, “there are no women on the Internet,” if you’re a woman who doesn’t have wotis.

Regarding guns, from the MATI before last, a nice .38 special is a good idea for a night table gun, particularly if you plan to start a family. Revolvers are fairly safe, they make nice ones now, light, easy for women & older kids to use, & I’m surprised no one’s suggested a good, home defense piece like this, yet. Yes, semiautomatic’s are nice, but nothing beats old reliables like a revolver your wife is comfortable using, if you plan to have a family one day.

I use a custom ultra-ultraviolet sunlamp + foil cocoon rig for my vitamin D needs. Leathery skin keeps the health in!

Shmorky attempting to gayop Mandy into an even more false perception of reality audio recording gotta be one, if I remember his reaction to it while playing it on stream correctly
I accidentally stumbled down the Schmorky’s ex rabbit hole when I came across her twitter. Yeh she’s a BPD hoe, but you gotta feel bad for her. Just on a basic level she’s mentally disturbed, and she had/has to live with Schmorky. A pedophile, diaper fur freak. Like, yeh, she’s ridiculous, but being married to schmorky is a hell I wouldn’t with on anyone

I listened to the latest stream. Null makes this big statement that he won't accuse anyone (including Flam) of the "Big P" word unless there is clear and reasonable evidence beyond a doubt, but then turns around a few seconds later and says that "if you like [popular anime character] you're a pedophile!"

I know Null hates anime and a lot of anime fans are degenerates, but way to shit on your own (very good) point there.

I have a few weeb friends and one of them always tries to get me to watch anime because he watches a new series pretty much every week and wanted to involve me for some reason. Back in 2014 was the last time he managed to nag me into watching his recommendations. I was okay with Planetes since all the characters were over 20 and the story was actually decent for an anime. But then he took my "yeah, that was alright" as a green flag and pushed me to watch that stupid time-travelling anime with the dumb name - steingate, or something? It was really fucking stupid and annoying and I refused to watch anything he recommended ever again because he kept insisting that it was "really good" and "scientific" and I just didn't like it because I "didn't get it".
I'm surprised you didn't get weirder out by the 12 year old who canonically looks like she's in her mid 20s in Planetes. I know a few people who almost dropped the show because of that.

Chantal has blessed us with a possible sound effect for donations for MATI:

autism speaks, and I'm tired of listening

Finally got around to watching last weeks ep, pretty funny how Nulls theory on the bot situation over on /pol/ was proven correct within like.. a month

Though the author of GPT-4Chan claims to only have ran it over a 24hour period I highly doubt that
To be fair that theory was floating and Null did talk about it in early MATIS. IIRC that during Trump's time more and more feds and bots were posting and browsing /pol/.

Weird it was taken down so quickly but not that the appeal was rejected before someone could even listen to the opening.

There is copyrighted music in it (Feint by Linkin Park and 空華 by UPLIFT SPICE) but that only stops the video from being monetized. When it was up, do you know if there was a transcript on it? This version doesn't have it, I think the main way they are picking up the naughty no-no speech is through that.

I don't think you can control which uploads have a transcript and which don't, but if anyone knows how to turn them off that'd be great.

I believe it did have a transcript. I think it might be the opening of the episode that was what triggered it. There was a lot of spicy talk about Israel

Metocaust on Deagle nation stream.png
Metocaust had the same issue that you had, for whatever reason the copy from Null's site automatically gets flagged for hatespeech, but other copies of the stream are fine like the JCM copy or the other one on Metocaust's channel. Youtube is just arbitrary with how they enforce things as usual.
Susan is in a love-hate relationship with our favorite Marine :semperfidelis:
