Can you upload the videos to YT or the MATI site too? It's kind of annoying I just found this 1:15 into the audio-only version (which itself wasn't showing up at the regular time today).
Yeah I'll do that and get the art done tomorrow morning

He just described American "big tech" competent employee sentiment. Big tech rides on old technology made by competent people who retired and are flooded with pajeets and diversity hires who are a detriment. The computer tech industry is hurting for competent people and are at odds with HR who want nonwhite women in positions. The job openings are flooded with indians who aren't remotely qualified and people who think they can get rich quick by paying $10k on a "coding bootcamp". Apparently gen z doesn't know how to use desktop computers so the shortage of talent is worse.

Is the gunt stream reaction still a gumroad exclusive?

Audio only version on MATI website (doesn't need video tbh)

I have been working on getting a Youtube acceptable version of this week's stream up, it is processing on a burner now. If no strikes, I'll upload to main - if still gets strikes, I'm going to have to go through and mute sections.

EDIT:

Here it is on burner, no strikes so far. Let me know if any issues.

As my work as a freelancer picks up, I'm learning from hearing clients discuss other freelancers and agencies they work with that pretty much the entire IT service industry is based on overpromising, overbooking, and underdelivering. People seem to know that one they've got a client's name on a contract and have started doing some work for them, they can just start fucking around and let the client experience the sunken cost fallacy if they ever even think of starting to cancel the work or switch providers.

It's surprising but tracks with my own experience. Sadly I think I have too much ethics in my marrow to start playing this game with my clients too, so I guess I'll just continue to make mediocre money for the rest of my career.
