I just watched the recent MATI and there are two thoughts I had.
1. If you build it, they will come. This is a misquote from the 1989 movie "Field of Dreams", but as a quote has taken on a life of its own. I genuinely believe Kiwifarms as a site and even as a culture is destined to grow and become something bigger than it already is today.
2. The detractors that desperately want Null to have a "secret cat" I believe, whether they are aware of it or not, want to ultimately pin animal abuse on him. Its in the same line of thinking as calling someone a pedophile - if you can make an accusation like pedo or animal abuser stick, it will seriously degrade a person's public image if not outright delete them. If Null has a cat, then they can find ways to try to make him look like a bad pet owner. Look at what animal abuse has done to ecelebs before, from Rekieta gloating about killing small animals all the way to Hasan's image after he shocked his dog. Rules of the Internet generally go, "no kids, no animals", and if you can stick someone with one of those it will tank reputation and cause damage. This is my theory. In other words, if it was not pitifully obvious enough before, these people will cling to straws. I am very happy that I am not an eceleb with insane freaks constantly buzzing around me at all times.
