There's the classic have you tried with only 2 sticks of RAM in slot 2 and 4? (You probably did)
Also I know DDR5 is a lot harder to run with 4 sticks of RAM so it might be a memory controller issue (especially if you went with an "older" model like a 12th or 13th gen).

as gay as it sounds, now days motherboards have "compatibility list" for RAM kits saying "This is certified to run on our motherboards and non verified might not work" which is fucking retarded, but that's what the industry went with and as consumers we can't do shit about it I guess...

Yes I have reseated and confirmed hookups and tested every possible permutation of memory stick in memory slot.

It either gets stuck doing CPU/DRAM forever, stuck on VGA (with it without video cards), or it works perfectly.

I'm just exhausted and I don't care anymore. I want to take a vacation but I can't afford to.

The maximum trace length between memory controller (inside the CPU package) and DDR5 chips is something like 2”, and the communication is more like advanced radio signalling than a traditional clock and data bus.
It’s extremely hard to meet all the layout rules when the CPU and memory are right next to each other on a phone or laptop board, getting it to work on a PC mobo through DIMM sockets is technically impossible, I think they use more black magic insanity to re-drive the signals right at the socket or even on the memory modules.

It's possible to buy and install an aftermarket motherboard speaker.
Mine is DIY made with a 0.5W 8ohm cone speaker and a 4-pin DuPont connector.

Sounds better than those tiny piezo beepers.

EDIT:
That there says it all.

Wifi on desktops is pure niggery, no white man should ever buy Mainboards with Wi-Fi
Those WiFi chips also come with Bluetooth so it's worth getting on-board WiFi just for that alone. Make sure those are Intel NICs for best compatibility as well.

Yeah I bought new RAM and it's still doing it.

In case anyone is wondering it's a Gigabyte Aero Z790 G and I am never buying another Gigabyte product. I've read through the entire manual and it literally does not even mention a single time that it does memory initializion. In the section about the debug lights it just says: light that it's stuck on = malfunctioning part. So it's literally telling me that 8 sticks of memory have all gone bad when it's simply undergoing some secret process it doesn't tell you about.

The motherboard was insanely expensive at the time I bought it and it came with a fucking Wi-Fi antenna but it doesn't come with a small diagnostic display or a speaker, and the instructions it comes with flat out omits its own features and diagnoses faulty parts incorrectly.
Tbh stupid issues like these are exactly why I exclusively order completely custom pre-built PCs now. Occasionally I still build a new one for friends&family or just for fun but when it comes to my own I just don't bother.

Have you looked into getting one of those minipcs? I got one to replace my 10 year old plus desktop that won't support windows 11 and it works very well. It came with everything I needed in a small box for like $400. It has lots of ram, a good image of windows 11 pro preinstalled without microsoft account stuff, and an ok ssd. I know it sucks to abandon the hardware you spent a lot on but it's not worth the hassle. These mini pcs can stream easily and if you wanted to do a gaming stream you could get a $100 occulink dock and use the power supply and gpu you already have. Most of the new mini pcs should also be able to play none demanding games well without it though. Mine has the AMD 8845HS processor and it's very good performance and supports alot of ram.
Mini PCs are nice for their use case but can get get limited (and expensive) in their expansion options. Plus they can be a bit louder or have a more high pitched fan noise. In most cases you would be better off with a decent laptop

It's incredible, DDR5 operates at speeds approaching 5GHZ (microwave frequency), across 80 data lines per module.
It really does approach the situation of a closed circuit system like broadband cable connections.

I don't even know if this is remotely close to the problems Null's having but I built a computer years ago that I could not get to run. It was my third personal computer that I built so it wasn't like I didn't know what I was doing. I and a friend took the entire thing apart twice with no change. Finally we took out all the ram and put them in one by one but this time we put them in the opposite slots that the FUCKING MANUAL TOLD ME TO. Lo and behold the damn thing powered on and worked. This was also the PC that I chose to do things differently and got an AMD video card which is probably why the whole build was cursed.

tl;dr
Computers and the people who make them will randomly lie to you because they find it funny.

@Targeted Individual your post is really interesting to me, I think for reasons we all know already, but sometimes just seeing it confirmed in a specific case kind of adds to the gut feeling.

Redditers claim to be open minded and that they go to a bunch of places, experience various cultures, so on and so forth.

The Farms is considered closed minded, racist, won't tolerate or experience other cultures.

I went to both of the reddit threads for your post (spaceking and grimdank), expanded all the comments, and couldn't find a single instance of 'kiwi' or 'farms'. I see them debating back and forth what your intentions are, but they have no idea that you could exist elsewhere. They can't conceive of some internet culture existing somewhere else. You're even using the same username but it never occurs to them to check it out and see if you post anywhere else. They're content to exist within the reddit bubble.

Meanwhile, on the farms, I constantly see collections of information from obscure parts of the internet, from cultures I never even knew existed. I can't remember the name off the top of my head but Josh has a black women forum he goes to and shows off on MATI segments sometimes. Literally some of the funniest shit ever, but you can also tell it's their actual culture and beliefs. The farms is almost an aggregator of cultures in a way. I didn't think about it before posting this but I remember seeing Null post about trying to incubate more of the international boards/threads.

TL;DR the farms is the shit, if you want to know what's happening with various cultures, you're better off reading random threads here than the NYT or some other propaganda.
nvm this also applies to rightwingers on twitter.
This retard couldn't take the time to look for the original reddit post to know it was made by a brand new account, or use google's image search which would've directed him to my post in this thread.
They just assume it was made by a libtard because it was on reddit, the same way redditors would assume it was made by a hecking nazi if they knew it was posted on the kiwifarms.

Someone else should start a stream just reviewing hasan shocking his dog memes.

Run a side campaign so people can donate to hire null some fucker from Best Buy to fix his shit since apparently he can’t figure it out.

This probably isn't the answer, but what you are describing reminds me of when I built my second computer. I had it all set up, but kept getting bizarre errors and issues when I tried to run it. I'm not particularly knowledgeable beyond basic googling, and was tearing my hair out trying to figure out what was wrong.

Eventually, and I don't know how I figured it out, I came to the conclusion that some of the connector cables were faulty, and when I replaced them it worked perfectly.

After this I got two sticks in at the wrong place and the mobo booted to os while complaining. I then shut everything off and started screwing in the PCIe cards for GPU and networking and now it's totally dead. No lights, no signs of life, no PSU spin. Everything I've been doing has been meticulously grounded and I even have the fucking wristband.

I'm forced to assume the shit about the trace wires is right. The board has microscopic cracks and my work moving it / taking the big 4090 in and out over and over again in has broken its back.
