Do people outside of /co/ and other comics discussion groups use the term cheesecake? It's always been a western-comics enjoyer coded term to me.
I'm struggling to think if I've ever heard the term used by anyone who wasn't a superhero comics nerd talking about how Rogue on X-Men TAS gave them their first indication that they liked women or whatever. I feel like normal people just say pin-up girl or maybe sports illustrated swimsuit model.

Sven was an interesting guest, though. It was fun and it's always good having a guest that isn't hostile. Never knew about his history with the Redbar guy. Daily reminder that you should harass Caroline Farrow for part 2. (other people have also suggested you try to get Anna Slatz which I think would be a banger).

Cheesecake is a very old term for pinups and started with photography.
Additionally, beefcake was coined to describe pinups of men, and this article takes the cheesecake story all the way back to the 17th century with a close, but different tale set in 1912 instead of 1915.

Sometimes the youtube.com algorithm decides to toss some small video from a tiny channel that ends up being kino. I have watched two of what could be thousands of this man's videos. There is also apparently a "malt liquor drinking community".

Anyway, this video made me laugh.

Please remember that the Communists outlawed pornography too. The Hands Off My Porn could easily be a Hundred Flowers Campaign (after Chinese civil war, Mao allowed intellectuals to criticize the CPP, only it was a honey trap and everyone who spoke out was killed). Under Nazi Socialism there were no private ownership of corporations, so you'll just end up with a Conservative version of Diversity Inclusion and Equity. They could easily use this to gain power with more extreme factions, and then install their own flunkies and do the same that we already have.

It is a big red flag that Heritage Foundation is not going after Social Media. While not as controversial as porn, many parents give their kid an iPad and let YouTube be their 2 year-old's baby sitter. YouTube and Google have an established history of using their websites for psychological manipulation. Porn may be bad for young people, but at the same time letting Google have complete say over how your young child should be influenced by much more dangerous. Facebook also has been a bad actor, causing teenager girls to have higher rates of suicide and more emotional issues since the launch of their platform. Facebook also conducts psychological experiments on their users without their knowledge or consent, in additon to the other subversive practices they employ like shadow banning content instead of implicately banning it, so users don't know what other users are being blocked from seeing. Robert Epstein is a psychologist who studies social media:

My prediction is if pornography were to be Federally outlawed in the next administration it would trigger a Missouri V Biden type lawsuit where PH would sue the Government and it would go to the Supreme Court. PH is global, but their largest market is obviously the US. The porn industry has a lot of money. Imagine OF, PH, all the premium studios, and many larger name performers all chipping-in to a massive lawsuit campaign. These people like to play dirty and are very aggressive, so it would be a very funny shit show.

So far, nothing from the political events of the past decade has affected me, and that makes me almost believe the truism that nothing ever happens except for the news I'm reading. However, porn has affected my life since childhood, and before covid, radfems, conservative women, and normie liberal women were hitting peak trans all over social media. If adults take control of electronics just like they should with weapons in the home, and porn is not an ever-looming disaster waiting to happen, I think the fraught waters of social media could be navigated.

As to antisocial media I unironically am beginning to think that KF is the best social media introduction - it teaches you to laugh at retards and not take it seriously. KF is the vaccine for social media’s disease. 🦠
