Ignoring that Josh was talking about US politics entirely but okay. Yes, women are the number one consumers because women do all the shopping for their family, they purchase all groceries, clothes, birthday gifts, household items, furniture, etc. because they are usually the ones in charge of managing household funds and chores like replenishing supplies for the home, this was the case even in "le based good old days". Single men spend more than single women though.
