I thought I'd give the podcast a try yesterday. Listening to the Bully XXL episode, I was bench pressing heavy when Josh started doing his shitty English accent and laughed so hard I lost all focus, failed the rep, totally got trapped and had to do the roll of shame. Why does Josh Moon keep hurting people?

We have the same thing in Japan for the abandoned houses. It sounds cool to have a "free" house, but it's always a huge trap.
There is a reason why it's free. It comes with strings attached.

Usually you have to renovate the house (costs as much as building a new house) while still respecting the laws and regulations concerning conserving the "traditional" architecture and appearance of the home, which makes it a lot more expensive, as well as having the house conforming to modern safety regulation to live in.
On top of that you often have back taxes, have to have the home as your primary residence for X years, cannot sell it for a very long time, etc. It's not nearly as fun and cheap as it sounds. They do that kind of thing for the houses that failed to be sold at the regular state-run auctions where they sell houses that have been seized or do not have a private owner anymore. Ask yourself why no one bought it in the first place.
Great Britain has a program where you can pay drastically reduced rent to live in and maintain a property that would otherwise become derelict. Sometimes these are buildings like schools or workshops that were never intended to be liveable. That way the owner keeps their spot from going to shit and the renter pays next to nothing as long as they’re okay with living somewhere that has a reduced standard of living (often places that would not qualify as legally liveable otherwise).

Which is funny because living in Great Britain at all is already a reduced standard of living.

Zing.

@Null For your consideration for the next Reddit segment. There is a whole subreddit dedicated to essentially only men who are being extorted by pajeet scammers who catfish them on Snapchat or instagram and blackmail them with their nude photos they send. They typically threaten the victim with sending their nude photos to friends and family if they don’t pay large sums of money.

Katherine Alejandra Cross). Looks like a troon

"Information Science" sounds faker than the degrees they give to the 75 IQ perpetually concussed football players.

There's a CLASSIC LoveLines clip (old "ask your STD question" late night radio call-in show with based Adam Carolla and "Dr. Drew") where this high asf chick calls in and Adam just can't ignore the chirping. Spends the next 15 minutes walking her around her house, getting on chairs, while she keeps trying to ask her question.
Strangely wholesome show to listen to now.

Side note, they mention that the “chirps” only started showing up in calls very recently (this is 2002 or so). I think the phone exchange serving their studio must have got upgraded at that time. Older systems (SS5) filtered out high pitched noise like that because it used in-band signalling, and you didn’t want the subscriber using bluebox software on their computer to get free calls. So the chirps were there all along, they just weren’t hearing it.

Here are some KNN correspondent concepts. I had sketched these out a week or two ago and finally found some time to clean them up digitally. Since News Hamster looks like Hamtaro, I made the Troon Hamster look like Bijou.

Everyone here including Null loves video games so I'm sure we're all disappointed that Sega has cancelled Hyenas, the 100 million dollar flop-on-arrival hero shooter where you steal Sonic merchandise, and is firing the dev team. If you don't know what Hyenas is, and why would you, here's the beyond-parody character list featuring multiple troons, a black female astronaut, and a Sonic autist.

You referred to the military as the "great equalizer". Any system so deep rooted in nepotism is no such thing, and to not be nepotistic requires a great deal of integrity. To call a system an "equalizer" of any measure is to claim that it has a great deal of integrity. That's like claiming someone isn't violent while also saying you never said that they don't hit people when someone points out how often they start fights.

I have no idea why you're so enamored with the US military, but part of me hopes you enlist someday to find out the hard way. You sound a bit like one of those online recruiter weirdos or an enlistee who vehemently denies and defends their mistake in joining. Or one of those guys who just loves military propaganda films, games and books. I can't blame you too much for not understanding what you've never experienced firsthand or by proxy if that truth is on the other side of a wall built by MRE Steve and shootybangs.

Regardless, I know what I know and you're not interested in shattered illusions at the moment. Black pills aren't any fun.
Bro, I understand you're big mad at having been shafted by uncle Sam's green weiner, but it's clouding your ability to understand the argument. All he is trying to say is that it is the policy of the US government to use the military to scoop up talented people from socio-economicaly depressed areas (both genuinely and in the "lol black people" meaning) and shove them up the socio-economic ladder. That's official policy from what I can tell, and has been since atleast the 1930s.

Just because the internal politics of the DOD are hell doesn't mean that the kid from Detroit who joins as a supply clerk, does his 2 to 6 of nothing much remarkable and gets a normal civilian job wherever he ends up wasn't greatly benefited from his "service".

Dear leader, does this mean that employees for state governments have a higher chance of avoiding the fires of hell?
state governments are more honest, and you have the option of just leaving to avoid them if you really want. You can't even leave the country to avoid the IRS, the feds, or American influence. You can escape Florida by traveling an hour north.

If you sit down and break down your taxes, you'll realize that every single government service you actually use is just state/local gov't and you can't name a single fed gov't service you use.
