According to this live tweet, the video is showing that Luigi's bag was searched *after* he was arrested. That seems pretty damning to any suppression attempt and contrary to what Dickey and Karen alleged in their motions. Then again, it's been so long since I read them I've forgotten the sequence of events they outlined and their relevance to evidence suppression. However, everything outlined here seems like pretty standard procedure (also not American, so maybe I'm wrong!)

Yeah they were able to search Luigi’s bag because there was probable cause. That’s what it said for the Altoona police department’s policy manual and they technically followed that. Karen included it in one of her recent motions.

I always thought Luigi looked very Italian; I never saw the Jewish features but now I do, kek. Funnily enough Luigi has Irish ancestry (I'm Irish) yet he has no remnant of it in his face really.
it's also funny that when scrotes complain about women "hitting the wall" they have to use pictures decades apart. When men wall we can use photos from within the same year kek.
in all of his high school-college pictures he only looks pure italian (sometimes latino too randomly?), and in his mugshot too. but since the court pictures with him wearing the red/burgundy sweater, i agreed w anons that he looked like a jew (especially here: in that top right picture of his side profile, where he's grinning at the floor like a schizo). he has all the prototypical features. his older sister mariasanta also looks jewish. jews and italians resemble each other strongly sometimes. his parents and sister lucia look italian to me though. sometimes he also looks middle eastern randomly. but i agree that he doesn't look irish even in the slightest.

While his scroticity has been accepted by lc anons since Thai Whatsapp (though the signs were always there), since the Kaitlyn revelations Luigi has become a cow I actively dislike. I wouldn't be surprised if he was an abusive dude, given how she consistently referenced how critical he was of her. He had a woman who was willing to play around with his limp weiner and he blew it up to kill somebody. Moreover, it makes me wonder when his gooner arc started. I genuinely felt bad for her, and wonder if she'll be called to testify at all at trial.

i thought he was a scrote retard the minute his mugshot dropped. the worship and idealization of some spoiled rich boy by lc anons as well as libfem bpdemons pissed me off, so i started hating him early on.

my guess is that he slowly began to border on the lines of abusive towards kaitlyn, belittling her more and more, and eventually becoming more blatant with his verbal abuse. it's no wonder he never had any longstanding relationships-- including with friends or family. he does not seem to have maintained long-term, genuine connections with absolutely anyone... which is very odd. there is really nobody who can claim they know him truly and deeply. the absence of any closeness whatsoever between him and others is ridicuously offputting and questionable.

@skinnyretard

He's certainly an interesting character to analyse. I would bet good money that the Mangione family is emotionally dysfunctional, hence the "Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents" in his Goodreads and going no contact with them. Obviously his parents gave him everything he ever needed materially, and probably lots of encouragement and ego-boosting when he succeeded at something external, but probably not the unconditional emotional closeness that a child needs. I have genuine sympathy for that; a dysfunctional family affects every part of your cognition, particularly how you experience your own feelings and relate to others. People seemed to like Luigi, but I doubt anyone was truly close enough to him to understand his ugly thoughts, with the exception of perhaps Kaitlyn. He's a real chameleon. In the Surfbreak videos he comes across as self-effacing and nerdish, almost effeminate. In the Asia photos he looks like a sex touring scrote, and in the photos from December last year he seems so confident, masculine and radiating sex appeal. He's a hard one to pin down to ascertain what he's "really like", and where he's going I doubt anyone ever will. Prisonscrotes and BPD letter demons don't make good company.

It's tragic, but I don't feel too much sympathy as he had every resource to make something of his life but decided becoming a murderer to get famous was the way to go. He reminds me of Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris, though at least Luigi smoked a CEO instead of a classroom full of kids.

Side note: In light of what we know about him, I'm wondering more and more about his lover boy quotes on his Goodreads. He had three liked quotes to do with romantic love. Odd, because he had Kaitlyn and threw her away, and he doesn't seem to be a man that genuinely likes women and wants intimacy (beyond sex) with them, hence why he responds to the most insipid letters possible.

The whole insanity sorrounding him is the result of the ugly man psyop and hot men drought, change my mind.

but we don't know him. we don't know his "old self". and there probably is no "new self" either. there's always been one self-deluded idiot who's simply aging poorly. i don't think he's inwardly, drastically changed now just because he's supposedly gotten uglier. he's always been a shallow retard-- his outward appearance is just beginning to reflect it more.

I think you misunderstood what I mean. I completely agree that he has always been self-deluded, shallow, and not very smart, both then and now. But when I say his “past self,” I’m talking about the potential of it. His past self was also empty and retarded, sure, but still… it feels like such a waste of life potential. He is literally a male, part of the majority racial group in the U.S., good-looking, from a millionaire family, and an Ivy League graduate. And all of that is just gone like that. Even if it wasn’t him, if you replaced him with anyone else, I would still grieve that person.

And when I say “future self,” I don’t mean the version of him sitting in prison right now. I just mean the alternate versions of him in another possible path or dimension where he didn’t kill Brian. Maybe the version who went back home, still awkward with his family but at least getting the help he needed. Maybe the version who just went back to work (even if he would’ve ended up as a mediocre code monkey anyway). Maybe the version who fell in love with a woman who humbled him, so he changed. Or the version where he found another conservative woman who actually wanted to protect his heart and pass his genes, they got married, had a baby, and then divorced years later because he was a bad husband and father. Maybe the version of him where he had a relationship with a man and they had a gay marriage or something. And a million other alternative versions of him in another path or dimension. It’s all still a far better life that didn’t end with him being a murderer and lead to where he is right now.

But like, I wrote that when I was in a certain mood anyway. Usually I also have zero sympathy for him.

I have genuine sympathy for that; a dysfunctional family affects every part of your cognition, particularly how you experience your own feelings and relate to others.
tbh i don't really care about this. while i understand, i know numerous people with dysfunctional parents and siblings who still turned out relatively fine and even very well rounded (not that you're making excuses for him)
In the Asia photos he looks like a sex touring scrote, and in the photos from December last year he seems so confident, masculine and radiating sex appeal.
lot of lc anons used to dissect this shit like crazy. a number of people pointed out that he seemingly absorbs whatever atmosphere he finds himself in. his core identity was and remains inchoate... although in most appearances, he seems to appear particularly pleased with himself as a newfound "martyr" who will be known for "rebelling against the system" when nobody else would (not saying that this is how most people still see or think about him, but rather potentially how he views himself as prison scrote who found meaning in suffering the rest of his life in jail. i think he takes pride in his ostensible suffering; wearing that shit like an ornament, "standing up" for the working class. his bpdemons also feed him this narrative constantly and it very likely went to his head).

He's a hard one to pin down to ascertain what he's "really like", and where he's going I doubt anyone ever will.
truthfully i don't think he's "really like" anything. as many others have pointed out, his defining values and passions are ambiguous because he's very shallow (seemingly) and lacks meaning... so he inadvertently takes on the sincere interests, traits, and even behavior of people he admires. right before the killing, he was desperately trying to capture the attention of that grifter (gurwinder)-- attempting to extract even a modicum of guidance from a literal shitter random who he had no personal relationship with. and prior to that he basically copied tim urban's everything-- from urban's beliefs down to some of his own writing and exact words.

i think his initial goal was to emanate the identity of a profoundly deep, well educated, impartial and skeptical "intellectual," but this phase was incredibly transient and all for show. based on what we know about his history, i'd say around the time of the pandemic is when his spiraling identity crisis began. to me, these intrinsic struggles is the primary reason as to why he shot thompson

now i must add: this is, of course, all speculation. nobody knows luigi and i could be completely wrong about his "inner world" (if he even has one).

In light of what we know about him, I'm wondering more and more about his lover boy quotes on his Goodreads. He had three liked quotes to do with romantic love. Odd, because he had Kaitlyn and threw her away, and he doesn't seem to be a man that genuinely likes women and wants intimacy (beyond sex) with them
i agree. im strongly guessing that he's one of those men that idealizes love and women. craves the "perfect romance", but does not truly have the capacity for emotional intimacy and genuine connection. probably runs when problems arise or things get too real. an avoidant type.

He is literally a male, part of the majority racial group in the U.S., good-looking, from a millionaire family, and an Ivy League graduate. And all of that is just gone like that.
all of this is exactly why this situation has sparked so much interest kek. if he was an ugly nobody from a broke family, most people (including those on here and definitely from lc) would not give a shit about him at all. and im sure this is exactly how his parents and sisters are looking at this situation as they stay up at night wondering what the fuck is wrong with him.

The whole insanity sorrounding him is the result of the ugly man psyop and hot men drought, change my mind.
Yeah, I will always remember that one anon in LC who said that it’s because nowadays there are no moids like Justin Bieber, Shawn Mendes, or 1D for this generation.

while i understand, i know numerous people with dysfunctional parents and siblings who still turned out relatively fine and even very well rounded (not that you're making excuses for him)
Yes. This is also my opinion. It’s never simply about a bad childhood, trauma, or mental illness; it's always about the person. Yes, maybe all of those factors contribute, but people who do horrible things in the name of those factors already had something in them in the first place. There must already be something so rotten in their soul, something that makes them see other people as objects or tools to use.

Many people had terrible childhoods, but they don’t end up as murderers or doing other horrible things. Many people go through trauma and still don’t end up killing someone. When it comes to ‘mental health,’ it’s tricky, because many people with mania or schizophrenia also don’t end up murdering anyone. In fact, saying otherwise only reinforces the harmful stereotype that schizophrenic people are violent, when most of them absolutely aren’t. Only about 2–5% of people with schizophrenia ever commit serious violence. This means 95–98% do not.
i think he takes pride in his ostensible suffering; wearing that shit like an ornament, "standing up" for the working class. his bpdemons also feed him this narrative constantly and it very likely went to his head).
100%. I believe he has some kind of martyr or hero complex or something similar, where he wants to prove that he has a ‘hero’s heart.’

i think his initial goal was to emanate the identity of a profoundly deep, well educated, impartial and skeptical "intellectual," but this phase was incredibly transient and all for show. based on what we know about his history, i'd say around the time of the pandemic is when his spiraling identity crisis began. to me, these intrinsic struggles is the primary reason as to why he shot thompson
Of course it is for show. He is not someone who is actually rational, intellectual, or skeptical. If he were, he wouldn’t choose violence as the answer and conclusion. People who are actually rational, intellectual, and skeptical will research everything about the subject they’re interested in from various different points of view and perspectives, even the ones they don’t like. People who are truly like that also won’t simplify things into a black-and-white mindset (CEO is evil vs. me, the hero who kills him, is good), because they understand that while yes, CEOs do have faults, they are just one cog in a massive, complex billionaire or even trillionaire industry. If you think that killing one CEO can overthrow an entire trillionaire industry or revolutionize it, then I’m sorry, you are just not rational and intellectual.

“Intrinsic struggles are the primary reason as to why he shot Thompson.”
Yes, he did this for intrinsic reasons. Like I said, he is not a rational person; he is just a very emotional person with poor impulse control who wants to see himself as righteous. In his mid-20s, he found out that life is not what he imagined, there are so many things he can’t control (like his back pain, his breakup, his fights with his family, or whatever). Of course we can’t ignore the moid factor in this. When moids are spiraling and feels like their world is out of control, they can’t help the urge to destroy something, like abusing or killing or raping or any horible shit, because their moid brain just can’t see any other solution or way to release their pain.

Many people said that he’s “different,” and that it’s a mystery why he doesn’t target women or children or become a mass shooter. But it’s not a mystery to me. I think that’s not because he actually cares about women and children or innocence; instead, it’s just because he wants to maintain that illusion of his self-concept where he sees himself as a man of virtue and righteousness. In a way, it’s still a very selfish mindset. Killing that CEO fulfilled two things for him: the moid urge to chimp out and the need to prove to himself that he is a righteous person who did something for society.

Seeing this photo makes me realize he could probably be hot again in the future if he wanted to. I think it was speculated that the left photo was taken after his surgery but before his Asia trip, when he was recovering and in bed all the time (not sure of this, though). He looked good for months in prison until recently. Also Sei Sei mentioned that he's really dirty and unhygienic, yet the Japanese inn owner said he was the cleanest guest he ever had. I think he is just currently depressed and stressed out, too much to take care of himself in any way right now.

I saw on tumblr that someone thinks the Sei Sei drama cooked him. I also think that him losing trust in Karen (and possibly also Marc) had something to do with it as well. I mean, their support was probably the only positive connection he had left in his life (other than his family, but he did cut them off). When he's tried to make friends in prison, they get out and spill the tea. Every letter he writes seems to come with more drama.

It may also finally be hitting him, after a year in prison, that his circumstances look pretty bleak. I don't want to armchair diagnose, but it wouldn't surprise me if he's bipolar and he could be "coming down"

He reminds me of Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris, though at least Luigi smoked a CEO instead of a classroom full of kids.
Really this is the only reason he has any non-hybristophile support, he killed someone that most people don't have much sympathy for instead of kids or other innocents. Doesn't matter how hot a moid is, mass shooter = dry pussy for any remotely normal woman.

Agreed and I don't have a ton of sympathy for the excuse of mental illness, if he tries it. Plenty of mentally ill people out there that aren't planning and carrying out murders.

It's been said before but having money was a negative in his situation... everyone has letdowns in life and missed opportunities or expectations that didn't pan out, but most people grit their teeth and carry on because they have to. Luigi could afford to quit his job because having to work sucks, and go fuck around in tropical locations until the ennui was too much to bear, and overcorrected into a chimpout as moids do. Kaitlyn seems like the similar type to me, the digital nomad with too much time and money to do whatever they feel like and still remain unsatisfied. They're carbon copies of each other. I'm interested to hear more from her, I wonder if she'll be summoned.

Many people said that he’s “different,” and that it’s a mystery why he doesn’t target women or children or become a mass shooter. But it’s not a mystery to me. I agree. His choice of target was calculated to appear as altruistic when it was actually self serving toward his legacy. But I can't really argue with the results, the next best thing after not killing anyone is to kill some rich moid indirectly responsible for countless deaths I suppose

I saw on tumblr that someone thinks the Sei Sei drama cooked him.
I subscribe to this theory. Sei Sei was a major hit to his image within the fanbase, and Kaitlyn was immediately after that with the ghosting. He's also been getting troll/hate mail from people claiming to send him updates on his craziest supporters, Sei Sei's chats, and pictures of Kaitlyn with other men. Lucky for him the general public seems to still think he's a handsome hero, but the tide might be turning with 43k likes on this

Weegee is back in court today looking noticeably more relaxed than the last two appearances. Karen is seated next to him, after supporters noticed he was only speaking to Jacob Kaplan on Monday and Tuesday. Something on the ceiling was very interesting. Word is that there were fewer supporters in line today so everyone was allowed in.

We learned that he has another possible alias "Sam Dawson" on a bus ticket and he had a checklist with a hand drawn map and items like "intel checkin" and batteries. The courtroom also saw him get strip-searched by the Altoona cops. No word on when the pissed pants incident occurred.

Inner City Press moved to unseal exhibits and the judge agreed. Expected to publish today.

He looks way better today. Luigi needs to wet his hair so it reverts back to curly.

So he was the one that archived his Twitter with the deleted tweets. That was understand to be the case on lolcow. I’m not surprised he has another alias because the shooting was tied under the Mark Rosario alias. Then that would tie him back to the hostel. So he decided to come up with another fake name. Also, how is Frye 26 I was shocked about that?

I wonder why he bought a camera at Best Buy.

Aren't these two sides of the same coin? He was a millionaire's son but didn't have access to any true levers of power or the potential to get anywhere - he'd be a much fancier cog in the machine that most people, just like Brian was, but still not actually influential on systematic level, and he seems to have spent a lot of time thinking about systems. This was a point that I remember being made on LC, that Brian was slightly more successful in the same industry as Luigi's family, and got there from being self-made. Luigi started from a much higher place and couldn't make it to CEO. I think there was also some discussion of Paulina, about whether dating a billionaire's daughter got him temporary access to actual serious influence and how he may have started his decline when he lost it.

Another thing that got brought up a lot on LC was autistic users thinking he was autistic - all the stuff being brought up about him on the last few pages, impulsiveness, lashing out, lack of self preservation, naivety, fantasies of unrealistic love, limited ability to connect with others, mirroring people socially but can't sustain it - are all autistic traits which probably caused the autistic nonas to see him as one of them. Also they would analyse his body language from videos and say that was spergy. I think his twitter had a couple of mentions of autism or neurodivergency too.

The UK had a mass stabbing of young girls at a dance class last year, the perpetrator was an autistic Rwandan refugee who, some of his internet history suggests, had come to believe from the 2016 BLM movement afterwards that there was a race war coming and he needed to help ignite it. I wouldn't directly compare Luigi to Ted Bundy, Eric Harris or Axel Rudakabana because they all had long documented histories of violence and a fascination with violence that there hasn't been any suggestion of with Luigi, but I think I can see how undiagnosed adult autism could put him in a similar mindset.

imo he looks like shit, even in comparison to the last time. pictures can be deceiving but his face looks even chunkier and his hair somehow shorter

sorry but this was pure projection. not denying that he could be autistic, as it's definitely a possibility, but so many of them wanted to frame his every move as "autistic" because they were still holding out for something they felt they could connect/relate with him on. and how could you tell if someone is autistic from photo and video evidence alone?

this is actually fucking nauseating what is wrong with him. maybe he is autistic actually.

Every one of your posts is about Luigi Mangione and in many you seem eager to downplay your attraction to him even though you are obsessed. This thread is a fun look into wammin psychology

no i literally never denied being obsessed with him or downplayed any attraction either. i made this account solely to discuss him and openly obsess over his case on here. i don't care to be on this site other than to talk about him. all my posts and comments are about him for this reason. ive said multiple times that i think he's very physically attractive and i enjoy speculating about his personality because of that attraction. what i did say so far was that 1) he got fat, but that doesn't mean he's buttfuck ugly now 2) his personality probably sucks ass 3) he has mental problems. don't misconstrue my words.

close to everyone in this thread came here initially because they think he’s hot (or was). if he were ugly i certainly wouldn’t be here and this thread wouldn’t even exist

I didn't realise that the Kaitlyn/Sei Sei drama had such a negative impact on his fanbase; I don't keep up with the wider Luigisphere beyond scrolling r/BrianThompsonMurder, which had zero discussion of Kaitlyn or Sei Sei, though I have noticed that it's quieter than what it was, and the support less enthusiastic. Are the old BPDs (Jessica, Jules, Katherine, etc.) still around or have they moved on? What's the general temperature in the fanbase at the moment?

@Tragon Dirtle

The Bundy comparison was more to do with his looks as opposed to his character; obviously Bundy is a lot more evil than Luigi could ever be. Plus, both are decently attractive men (Luigi more so) that attracted a fandom of mentally unstable women. I don't doubt that the absolute worst of the BPDs in the Luigisphere would get soggy over someone like Bundy, though Luigi naturally garnered wider and more general support due to Brian bring so unsympathetic.

Luigi reminds me a little of Dylan and Eric in terms of the nihilism inherent in their actions and the sheer senselessness of it. D&E were close to graduating from Columbine and putting the place behind them, but couldn't let go of their inner rage and resentment that seemed directed at no one in particular; D&E killed people that had never been unkind them in any respect, and took pleasure in doing so. As discussed above Luigi killed a stranger to him because he wanted to confirm his ego. D&E also wanted the massacre to be a huge event in American history that would inspire similar events and made elaborate plans to make that happen, similar to Luigi's desire to make a statement and the monopoly money in Central Park. In both cases, when all was said and done their actions meant nothing. D&E ended their lives in their school library, their plans foiled and their names synonymous with being disgusting losers, while Luigi's life will end in prison all for naught with nothing but the company of murderers, rapists, garden variety thugs and hybristophiles for the rest of his life.

I don't think Luigi as he is now is as sadistic, cruel and menacing as D&E, but he did coldbloodedly execute a man on the street with engravings on the bullets. I would find that understandable and sympathetic if there was a reason behind it, but all it was in the end was a moid chimp out similar to all the others. In a way thank God Luigi wasn't born into a non-rich family, as that moid chimp out would probably have been far deadlier. Luigi's just too upper class to be a school/cinema/church/grocery store shooter.

I waver back and forth re. autism. A lot of it is people who actually are autistic or somewhere on the spectrum. They tend to think they recognize the condition from just seeing him in action. Nah, other things going on w/him. Sure, he may be on the spectrum, I'm just as suspicious about that, but definitely something else happening, bipolarity or simply depression, I don't know. He's mentally ill, whatever else he may be, obviously. That he may not get treatment until a long time from now breaks my heart.
