Is he still eligible for the death penalty without terrorism charges?
NY state dismissed their terrorism/murder one charges. He's still eligible for the death penalty under his federal charge of murder with a firearm.

The other piece of news is that he had a note to his family on him at arrest in addition to the "manifesto" to the Feds, reigniting speculation that he planned to commit suicide.

Today's photos were disappointing for the most part, in my opinion. He looked exhausted and kind of insane. A few of the remaining weegeewives declared their chains broken after seeing him today.

I don't think he looks fat, although his body looks bulkier, he looks almost the same as December in the face.

Here's the partial transcript from today:
https://www.luigimangioneinfo.com/statements/
Please note that to avoid inadvertently running afoul of any court rules, we will only be sharing Ms. Friedman Agnifilo’s statements made in court and her interactions with the judge, rather than a complete transcript. “Proceeding continues” means the proceeding continued, but is not reproduced in its entirety here.

MS. FRIEDMAN AGNIFILO: Karen Friedman Agnifilo, Marc Agnifilo, and Jacob Kaplan, on behalf of Luigi Mangione. Good morning.

THE COURT: All right. Good morning, everyone. You all should have gotten an electric copy of the decision.

So just to summarize, I want to say that I carefully looked over your submissions, the defense motions, the People's response to those motions. I carefully reviewed the Grand Jury minutes, the evidence that was presented before the Grand Jury.

As to Counts One and Two, charging the defendant with Murder in the First Degree, and Murder in the Second Degree, under the terrorism statute, the evidence put forth before the Grand Jury was legally insufficient for those charges. Therefore, those two charges are dismissed.

As to the remainder counts, the evidence before the Grand Jury was legally sufficient and they remain, including Murder in the Second Degree, intentional.

As to the defendant's motion to dismiss under double jeopardy grounds, that's premature. The defendant has not been tried in any other jurisdiction under similar alleged facts, and I'm not persuaded by the defendant's motion to stay this prosecution. So that is denied.

As to hearings that were requested, the People consented to all hearings, a Huntley hearing, a Mapp hearing, and should the People put on a non-eyewitness, identifying witness, a Mosley hearing would be held.

That's the decision of the Court.

So I'd like to discuss scheduling, if you can come on up for that.

[proceeding continues]

THE COURT: Okay. Any objection to that certificate of compliance needs to be -- obviously, you'll talk to the People, see if you can rectify anything you believe is missing, and file any motion within thirty days. Okay?

MS. FRIEDMAN AGNIFILO: Thank you.

THE COURT: All right. Come on up.

(Discussion at the bench.)

THE COURT: All right. We had a discussion at the bench about scheduling the hearings, and I believe all sides agree that on December 1st we will start the hearings in this case.

Counsel do you want to be heard?

MS. FRIEDMAN AGNIFILO: Yes, your Honor. We have an open motion to the Court regarding the Aetna subpoena.

THE COURT: Yes. I'm making no judgments about the legality of the subpoena. However, the People will be precluded from using anything received under that subpoena.

MS. FRIEDMAN AGNIFILO: Thank you, your Honor.

And, your Honor, at the bench we discussed this issue of 250.10 notice, and we respectfully would like an opportunity to file a motion with the Court, which we intend to do in the next two weeks.

THE COURT: Well, the next two weeks, you don't have much time.

MS. FRIEDMAN AGNIFILO: We understand.

THE COURT: So get it as soon as possible, actually.

MS. FRIEDMAN AGNIFILO: Okay. And one last thing, your Honor, we would like an opportunity to view the property that will be the subject of the Mapp hearing from the District Attorney.

THE COURT: Okay. You can work that out.

[proceeding continues]

This is interesting because I looked at his evidence list again and with the handwritten notes there was also 2 envelopes. I'm still not fully sure if that's what he wanted to do. Is Karen going for psychiatric evidence? Or is this just a reply to Joel’s motion.

He’s definitely got some fun expressions. I will say I think he looks good with a little more weight on him, but I agree with whomever said he will turn into a meatball tittied tony soprano as he ages.

I haven't read more than headlines about it, but apparently Luigi's terrorism charges have been dropped. (via Reddit). I never liked that killing one person was being treated as terrorism just because he was a CEO, as if they're worth more than regular people, so I'm happy about this. Good for him.

The DP is only for the fed charges. NY doesn't have DP. This hearing was about the state's case. Hopefully, though, this will influence the fed charges as well. The judge in that case in far more liberal.

His face will get even more round. That's what happens with Italians. Heart shaped face, angular features soften as they get older. He looks far more like a man now, he's definitely put on weight. The thing is, in every photo, he looks different. Hard to tell, he's a chameleon, which is a little frightening to me.

He kind of looks like Nikocado Avocado in the first picture. Schizigi has come fully to the surface. He looks like he'll bite you if you come too close. If he manages to avoid the death penalty, he's due for a Jill Ruby-ing.
I think that's less Schizigi and more Spergigi. Schizigi during the perp walk and plea hearing was pure, unadulterated sex, while yesterday he looked like a gormless sperg plucked from a retard zoo. For someone used to material comforts like Luigi (no matter how much of a minimalist he claims to be) I think prison has buckbroken him. He's gotten progressively paler and more tired-looking with each court appearance.

@CaseyTatumm

Luigi comes across as pretty vain to me, so I don't think he'll get fat in prison. Whatever weight he's put on seems to be mostly muscle, which is actually impressive given his conditions. However I think he'll likely start losing his hair in a few years and his skin will be permanently gray and washed out, plus his face will get hollower from a combination of natural ageing, prison conditions and general life stress. I almost feel sorry for him.

I didn't catch the trial, so what now? Does he get another hearing to decide the verdict? Is the defense still trying to get the bungled evidence dismissed? I know he has the other two charges. Law and Order didn't prep me for this. I have a file from https://www.luigimangioneinfo.com/ attached. After reading this, seems like we're looking at 2026 for the big one. I remember seeing Nikolas Cruz get sentenced in 2022 and that was four years after the shooting. Would they wait four years to sentence Mangione or do they want this Ouija ghosted as fast as possible?

I wonder if it's sunken in for him yet. If he had planned this better, maybe he'd be in a cabin living like Uncle Ted, instead of potentially rotting in prison for the rest of his life.

There hasn't been a trial yet, though it seems the New York state trial is proceeding soon. However hearings on matters related to Luigi's arrest and evidence dismissal will be held on December 1st before a trial date can be set; I'm unsure if his trial date will also be set then after those matters are adjudicated or if Judge Carro will make that decision in a hearing in 2026. His federal trial date will be set on December 5th. Yesterday was a standard pre-trial hearing dedicated to adjudicating certain matters; the terrorism charges were dropped for being baseless, the defense wanted the federal trial to proceed first and were denied, the judge barred the prosecution from using any evidence they obtained by subpoenaing Luigi's health insurer, etc.

the way he looks straight to the camera is so terrifying, total sociopath. He needs to be mentally evaluated. He probably gotta try to cause doubt in the evidence and say it wasn’t him, idk how will that work out but wouldn’t that clip of him shouting when getting arrested be useful in questioning him?

The prosecutor Joel Seidemann is the go to guy for defeating insanity defenses so everything released so far suggests they're not bothering with one. But he was also found to have illegally obtained Luigi's health records that have now been ruled inadmissible (I think)

He looked far more Schizigi to me in the first three appearances. Early December? Coming off the helicopter? Like he was some sort of alien life come to earth. Later that month in the court perp walk, he looked out of his mind, smirking and mugging for the cameras. It felt to me like he was in a mental state of some sort. In Feb. he just looked so completely out of it. Here, this week, he looked like I'd expect the guy should look. Resentful of the cameras, sick of your shit, ready to deal with the fact that he did this heinous thing.

Jules, Fellatia, and Abril went live last night. Abril was the blond in the black “Free Luigi” shirt that went to his recent court hearing and 12/23 arraignment. A highlight in the live was them being told they are the biggest clout chasers. Abril said
, “I already had clout before, I'm not looking for any clout.” This stood out considering that she found and posted every interview she did outside the courthouse. Then she was pissed off about her image and quotes being used yet she did multiple interviews that day. Jules and Fellatia’s behavior is already known kek. IMG_2661.webp IMG_2660.webp IMG_2659.webp
The whole smile thing I'm not sure if it happened or not. If it did, it seemed awkward. Someone on shitter clipped his photos in order. But there's no photo of him walking past the rows so idk. It seems like he only smiled at the front row

New Luigi photos. It's actually a nice picture, it's surreal how different he looks in these pictures compared to the modern day, there's a lightness in his face that seems to be gone now. Further proof for my hypothesis he had some kind of Cluster B attack and went nuts.

He looks beautiful in the first pic, his smile looks more sincere and not forced. The off guard pic is cute. But yeah, this is pre-schizigi, I still wonder what year these and the scribble pics come from I can’t if it’s 2021, 2022, or 2023.

His smaller smiles were always the ones I trust more. Even that little fake smile in the courtroom looks genuinely fake and therefore respectable. From what I can see in the scribble pics, he looked happy and his mood was up when he hung out with this particular friend who he seemed to genuinely enjoy. Mainly posted this just to say that I always thought he was forever schizigi from childhood, I always thought his moods were up and down depending on the day. His smiles weren't a reliable indicator of what he was actually feeling. They were actually defensive. He's an expert masker. He had to be.
