They’re getting mad over the Jules hashtag kek. I hope someone comes up with an even more unhinged one to piss them off. I thought the article was referring to the competition of hashtags that’s been happening for months, such as Latinas, Tredici, cat moms, single moms, pets for Weegee, etc. They just focus on what they want to cry about and ignore all the deserved criticism

I thought that was what she was referring to those hashtags too until I saw “bawdy”. I thought back to the very first time this happened with #27forluigi. The Instagram comment was also accurate. They inaccurately summarize what’s in his court documents, lazily insert his face, and put it on a pastel background. She’s probably the first journalist that has acknowledged their obsession with him as a minor too. And the “he’s a brother, son, uncle” statement they tweet all the time that Karen copied and put in her motion to preclude the death penalty. They’re mad because she said the truth.
