Marc was recently interviewed by David Lat on the Original Jurisdiction podcast. Marc gave a rundown on his law career, the start of Agnifilo Intrater LLP, working for Brafman, previous cases, the Diddy case, and a little on Weegee's case.
>Diddy was taken on as a client because his manager’s son Ben is on Karen’s podcast Legal AF.
>Marc said Diddy is "fascinating" and how racketeering and sex trafficking couldn’t be proven.
>He acknowledged that Cassie was domestically abused by Diddy.
>Marc made a joke with the jury that raiding Diddy’s home was worth it because they got the Astroglide. The jury laughed.
>Marc described Cassie and Diddy’s relationship as a “great love story”. (Even though Diddy drugged her, sexually abused her, and physically/emotionally abused her.)
>He claimed that Diddy didn't know his sex tapes were illegal.
>Marc was disappointed that Diddy wasn't released.
>He first met Karen when he was in his 3rd year in the Manhattan's DA office and they convicted a man who cut another man's arm off with a machete in front of Dizzy Izzy bagel store in 1992.
>When Marc was stressed out over the Diddy case, he spoke to Karen about it. Karen said, "our daughters ride horses, and when they'd get nervous, I used to say to them, "Ride the fucking horse. Stop thinking and ride the fucking horse." Then Marc said, 'I rode the fucking horse."
>Marc said he became more involved when Weegee got charged federally. He said Karen spends a lot of time with him at MDC and they do VTCs. Marc said that Karen referred to Diddy's case as the "second-biggest case of the century." (She's def referring to Weegee's as the first.)
>Marc said Sofia doesn't know if she wants to go to law school.
>When speaking about Weegee, Marc said, "I don't know of another case that has the same combination of characteristics of this dynamic, fascinating, smart, interesting man, and it's death eligible, and it's Southern District."
