One of the most annoying things about Lucas is his implication that he is somehow the downtrodden working class. This is a man who barely worked a day in his life, had everything provided for him to live comfortably and yet he bitches and moans.

The only times he's never had his basic needs met has always been his own doing. Knowing that there's no realistic, simple way to dig himself out of that situation that doesn't involve several, several years of pain and strife.

He's always had the luxury of society's pity on people like him. The luxury of dem programs designed to keep disabled gigatards housed and fed in relative comfort so they aren't dying on the sidewalk and minimizing their disruption to normal society.

That same productive society Lucas moos about, including those at the lowest rungs, wants nothing to do with him. That same productive society that has a significant portion of people that want nothing more than to cut out all the gibs and benefits people like Lucas receives because they view it as a net negative. They view it as a good thing that nature takes course and people like Lucas die on the sidewalk sooner rather than latter because they believe it's a sunk cost. Lucas isn't aware of that viewpoint, nor do I think it'd deter him whatsoever if it did because everything he does is in effort to achieve an impossible goal. Even when reality is sitting right there in front of him, contradicting literally all of his tardbabble, he thinks his approach to life will eventually lead him to the chosen zoomer bae.

I actually disagree. I think this is the result of two facts: 1) Lucas is interested is teenage girls (possibly pre-teens as well) and 2) Lucas thinks words are spell components that, when carefully selected and arranged, make people do what he wants ("Hi, I'm Lucas. Can I buy you a drink?").

Gen X and Millennials overlap based on your definitions, so Lucas could specify an age gap, older man/younger woman romance using Gen X and Millennial descriptors and get people to agree with them. However, most reasonable people would assume a late-Gen X man and a early-Millenial woman, making the gap perfectly normal. However, Lucas specifically meant late-Millenial women- I mean, girls. Because they were girls. But the reasonable interpretation made him think everything was gucci.

As he aged, the term for teenage girls appeared to switch from "Millennial" to "Gen Z"/"Zoomer". "No problem," Lucas thought, "I'll use those now." So he does. However, he now no longer overlaps with an acceptable interpretation, so there's backlash. To him, it's no different so he's startled at the change.

This is further solidified by him now removing buzzwords (the context of generations), with his whole "we can at least agree that 18-24 year old women are hot?". Clearly the buzzword are confusing people, so Lucas removes them to try to get people to agree again with his original premise, "teen girls are hot", even though they technically never did.

I just wish I could see the 'acts like a creep -> gets called a creep -> complains about being called a creep -> declares everyone a bigot' cycle from one of these groups because it seemingly happens all the time. I highly doubt he spends much time ingratiating himself in the group, so is he creeping on the zoomer baes as soon as he joins?
