Something interesting struck me in the most recent episode of Gachiakuta. There’s a scene in Amo’s backstory where Amo is raped and groomed as a child. It’s very horrifying stuff and is portrayed through children’s crayon drawings so the author could imply disassociation and not actually show child rape on screen (screenshots from the anime)

Maybe I’m reading too far into it but it’s an interesting coincidence this is also how the main character of Blue Archive is often rendered

Anyway Gachiakuta is one of the few manga to handle such a subject and how it affects the victims so well. Major props to the author for handling it so well. It’s one of the few times it’s implied without feeling like a fetish

Interesting. Disassociations, as well as physical and mental abuse, is one of the things that happen to those under Project Monarch (previously known as MK Ultra).

Actually did see that. A decent handling of the subject. As for why blue archive uses crayons... come on, we all know why.
