It is incredibly infuriating to me that I have been so outwardly against pedophilia and sexual predators and even social predators but from certain groups I have received nothing but push back, dismissals, Etc.

I don't know how to better say this. Sure I kind of get that - there's no need to appeal to a group of people that would hate you no matter what and I do agree with that. It is correct to not try to change yourself to placate others however going so far in the opposite direction that you make yourself look like the very thing that you should hate and the very thing that you don't want to be associated with only works to placate them in the opposite way. You are doing the exact same thing that you are not wanting to do but through emotionally immature and unsustainable social practices.
