Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m pretty sure the ninjas hated the samurai because they were originally farmers under the feudal system. The ninja clans would probably see anime as it is now as a decadence that their enemies indulge in. They lived a very humble lifestyle living off of very little, which contradicts the otaku lifestyle of hyper consumerism.
