Saw something here that I thought might be topical. Denpasoft getting restricted regionally due to local laws.
Thought it was interesting that it was snuck in with the other "brand protection" takedowns, when really it's more akin to pornhub requiring ID in certain states. Same intent, same approach, different legal basis. It's not saying "this doesn't align with our values, therefore we will not process the payment" it's "you need to adhere to regulatory compliance for the location you are doing business in".
And then that can also extend to if the seller does not have the ability to restrict regionally, they would have to take everything down until they are able.
It's the flip side of something like Stop Killing Games where you hope to see the downstream effects of a global market. I'm conflicted.
