Addressing r/DBM's Allegations Towards Me...

I'm not going to apologize for shit because frankly I didn't do anything wrong and these allegations that are being placed upon my name are false as hell. For those of you who aren't in the know, essentially, I got banned from r/DeathBattleMatchups for supposedly being a pedophile
You may have even seen this post go around that basically says to stay away from me and said post implies that I'm some sort of sexual predator... Which they have doubled down on in a "news report" in which talks about me being banned from the sub and propagates this notion that I'm some sexual predator
Now, you may be wondering, what even is their basis for me being these things ? You'd think it's be some document of me trying to engage with minors or some instance of grooming someone... However... None of that exists and even worse that none of those reasons, things that legitimately would be grounds to label me a pedophile, are even the reasons they make these ridiculous claims
Wanna know what their basis for this is ? They argue that since I'm okay with Loli stuff, that must means I'm a pedophile and like children... So you know what, if that's their only basis for me being a pedophile, I'm going to use this post as an excuse to debunk basically all arguments that Lolicon is pedophilia
This isn't the first time I argued this and even before I got banned from the sub, I debated people on many of the things I'm going to bring up in this post yet nobody could actually refute my arguments and instead resorted to ad hominem attacks on my character (aka just calling me a pedophile despite not being able to explain how I am objectively one)
So yeah... Instead of caving in and apologizing... I'm going to double down on the fact that I'm objectively not a pedophile for being okay with Loli shit...
We are going to use textbook definitions, objective studies and a multitude of other sources to basically shut up all the people who are falsely accusing me of stuff but can't actually bother to debunk me on how something fictional has little correlation to reality
(To those coming onto this post just to call me a pedophile or otherwise not refute any of the points that have been made on this post.... You are being blocked and ignored because it's a concession that I'm correct and that you are slandering me with heinous titles such as "pedophile" or anything adjacent)
Lolicon Is Definitionally Not Pedophilia
For all the people who are claiming I'm a pedophile just because I'm okay with Loli shit, the hilarity of this claim is the simple fact that, by all definition of what is defined as "pedophilia", loli related material wouldn't fall under that and I can objectively prove this as well
Pulling from the definition of Pedophilia, it can be defined as the following:
Pedophilia is defined as recurrent and intense sexually arousing fantasies, sexual urges, or behaviors involving sexual activity with a prepubescent child or children—generally age 13 years or younger—over a period of at least six months.
Pedophilia typically is an attraction towards those 13 or younger but for our intended purposes, let's just say it's an attraction to minors in general for arguments sake... The problem with asserting that Lolicon falls under this is completely disregarding the fact that biological age and mental age are two separate things, with mental age (otherwise known as mental capacity) be the thing that defines if someone is a child or not broadly speaking
The reason this is all important to keep in mind is because the sole reason that engaging with a minor (or a child) is morally wrong is because of the fact it's inherently exploitation and manipulation, a byproduct of the fact that children lack the mental capacity to properly consent to sexual favors
Children below a certain age are thought not to be capable of consent as they lack the relevant cognitive and volitional capacity. It is believed that they cannot fully understand and appreciate what consent means and of what they might be consenting to. Also, it is believed that they do not possess and are not capable of exercising sufficient independence of will.
So why does any of this matter for my case ? Well, simply put, lolicon being considered pedophiliac off of "looking like children" objectively fails to understand that what defines one's ability to consent and what can be considered a "child" is mental age, not how they look biologically. This means any arguments for it being pedophilia, that revolve around how they look, are objectively untrue by literal definition
By making this argument, you'd be unironically saying this 22 year old women, who had the misfortune of being stuck as biologically 8, is a child... In spite of the fact she'd objectively not because she has the mental capacity of a 22 year old and thus can make decisions like an adult, which would logically include the ability to consent
On the contrary, you'd also be making an argument that people who look like adults but have the mental capacity of children are able to consent because they visually are adults... In spite of the fact that they are mentally no different from a child and thus can't consent similarly how a child who's biologically and mentally one can't consent
No matter how you stretch it, biological age and mental age are objectively two different things. Biology doesn't define if someone can consent and mental age is what makes the distinction between if someone is a child or an adult.
As a matter of every day experience, everyone knows there are striking differences between adults and adolescents. Adults are able to think before they act, to reason through situations, and to rely on logic and experience to make decisions. Adults are able to withstand pressure from others, to interpret what others do and say, and to map their own responses using judgment. These are qualities adolescents are growing towards, but have not yet fully developed.
The difference in mental and emotional functioning between adults and teenagers has prompted the emergence of an entire specialty of adolescent and developmental psychology. Professionals in this field have identified numerous traits specific to youth, including a higher propensity for risk-taking than adults and a tendency to make decisions on impulse without weighing either the short- or long-term consequences of their actions.
The bottom line is that all arguments that revolve around how someone looks are ultimately ignorant of what defines the ability to consent and what separates children from adults, which is mentality as I already proven above several times at this point
I already know people aren't going to even bother trying to refute this, seeing as I'm in the right based on facts and actual evidence whilst people calling me "pedophile" are arguing based on feelings... However... To people who STILL think that I'm wrong, I want you to explain how someone with the mental capacity of an adult can't consent like an adult and why having the mind of an adult doesn't make you an adult....
If you can't explain this and sufficiently prove that biology defines if someone can consent, then you are conceding that lolicon is not pedophilia on the basis that loli characters are still mentally adults and thus are adults for all intensive purposes (meaning that engaging with them sexually isn't a form of exploitation and manipulation... The literal reasoning behind why statutory rape/engaging with a minor as an adult is wrong to begin with)
"Lolicon Will Cause People To SA Children"
This is yet another claim that people keep making as to why Loli is wrong and as you guessed, the r/DeathBattleMatchups folks also like to jump on this bandwagon, as a means to say I defend pedophilia, which is utter nonsense for a multitude of reasons...
For starters, let's just address the fact that Lolicon has NEVER and I do NEVER once been linked to any significant rise in sexual assault towards minors. There is literally no evidence to support this and people who argue this are making an objectively baseless claim based on what they feel and not based on any concrete form of reality
Wanna know the irony ? There's actually evidence that suggests the opposite. If Lolicon causes people to become child predators... Please explain why Japan isn't even in the Top 10 in terms of countries with the most sexual assault towards minors ? If Lolicon was such a problem that is causes people to do awful things to kids, please explain why the countries with the highest rates of SA are European or African as opposed to any Eastern country ?
You wanna know this is the case ? Simply put, Lolicon doesn't cause anything and it's just a fictional fetish that doesn't really correlate to reality in any meaningful way. Suffice to say, there's no evidence that Lolicon is a pipeline for people to become child molesters and in fact, all evidence points to the contrary, especially since some of the places mentioned above that have higher rates than Japan are places were Lolicon is banned yet it's rate of sexual abuse is still higher
Hell, we don't even need to use Loli to prove the stupidity of this statement. If fetishism really had any correlation to reality, then explain why women are the most common victims of rape despite it being proven that women are the demographic who enjoys rape fetishism the most ? Surely if fiction correlated to reality perfectly, there's be millions of women who are rapist because rape fantasy apparently serves as a pipeline for people to do actual rape... Oh wait... That isn't the case at all...
Either way, clearly fetishism doesn't cause anything and people who indulge in fetishes have a baseline understanding that doing something in reality like that is wrong. What's crazy is I could pull up several other fetishes that people tend to consider immoral and use the same logic, that being there's not any evidence that proves people do any real life equivalent
"B-But Lolis Still Look & Act Like Kids"
Ahh yes, yet another claim that many people who jump on this "Lolicon is pedophilia" bandwagon like the use as a "gotcha" against people who take a similar position to me... Well, I hate to burst your bubbles but even this argument doesn't work when you think about it for like a couple seconds
For starters, there's no such thing as "looking like a kid" because what defines a child is mental capacity but even worse, biologically speaking, children are just merely short and petite bodies... Ya know, the same biological attributes that also commonly appear in adults, especially to those from Eastern countries ?
So yeah, this argument doesn't work for the two reasons that a "child body" doesn't actually exist because what defines a child is purely mental maturity and also because children's bodies are just merely short and petite ones, which aren't exclusive to kids and thus not inherently pedophiliac things by definition
As for the "act like kids" argument ? Once more, this is stupid because there's no such thing as personality traits that are inherent or exclusive to children and ergo this argument is just plain retarded. This is especially dumb when you realize even adults can exhibit traits typically associated with children (such as being bratty or generally immature) and studies show we retain the same personalities from childhood to adulthood anyways
In the end, all of this means is that arguing someone "looking like a child" or "acting like a child" is a fallacious argument because the body of children aren't exclusive to them, alongside the fact that a "child" is mentally defined and not biologically defined. This extends to personality and mannerisms, all of which can appear in adults and aren't exclusive to children, ergo not pedophiliac in any sense of the word
"Loli Comes From Lolita, A Book With Pedophilia"
This misconception is so played out that it isn't even funny. Anyone who actually does research and understands Japanese language would know that this isn't even remotely true.
While Loli is a shortened version of "Lolita complex", in reference to the 1955 novel Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov, what's conveniently left out by people who make this claim is that the term "loli" itself is a Japanese bastardization of the famous work itself
Japan simply isn't using "Loli" in direct reference to the book and it's fine details as opposed to the concept of a younger girl being attractive, something that is very common in Japanese culture
Interviews with Japanese high school girls reveal that “kawaii connotes sweetness, dependence and gentleness,” which are linked to childhood in the minds of young Japanese women (Allison, 2006)
So no, the term "Loli" has no relationship with the novel and it's just merely a loanword that removes the original context of the novel. The funny thing is that "Loli", as a term, refers to youthful innocence mixed with a certain maturity from the word, hence subcultures like Elegant Gothic Lolita that intend no implication of pedophilia.
So the argument that "Loli" is an inherently pedophiliac word and has inherent ties to pedophilia is just objectively wrong and people who claim this show a lack of understanding in Japanese culture and language...
If Lolicon Isn't Pedophilia... How Am I One ?
I've basically debunked all the talking points that r/DeathBattleMatchups niggas and many others like to use against me to label me a pedophile. Their only argument for me being a pedophile and potential predator literally is just off the backs of being okay with Lolicon but as I've already proven above, Lolicon has nothing to do with pedophilia nor is it definitionally pedophilia by any metric
So if this is all you have against me to claim I'm a pedophile, then simply put, I'm not one. I haven't been done anything with minors, I haven't been on record grooming any minors and I have not even expressed desires of doing anything with minors... So if none of these things are stuff I've done, which would be actual merits to label me a pedophile and or child predator... Then it just means anyone who's been claiming I'm one is objectively slandering me and harassing me for no justified reason
I've seen people wishing death upon me and so many other things for the sole fact that I don't have a problem with Lolicon... Well, to you people, frankly have a good day... If I said what I wanted to say, I'd probably get in trouble with Reddit's ToS but suffice to say, what you wish upon me, I hope the same to you as well
Final Message To The Death Battle Community
Honestly, I've been done with this community for the longest time but I'm frankly happy that I got banned. If I can confess, I was never really happy being a part of the DB community due to how sanitized it's become and what's worse is the community is just openly a circlejerk of retarded takes that frankly I was always above anyways... I only got into this community because I like making match ups and I also wanted to prove people that V-Tubers can work on DB, which I feel I have sufficiently proven enough with my MUs and my post defending them being on DB
Outside of those personal goals, being in r/DeathBattleMatchups was one of the worst experiences one could imagine, whether it's on the reddit or the discord. Too many people are too stupid for their own good, people can't formulate their own opinions, sensitivity is off the roof, constant drama that makes indulging in the community a shithole and so much more I can put here that is objectively true
This isn't to say that everyone in r/DeathBattleMatchups were bad apples... Absolutely not... Although most people suck as debaters and as people in the community but there are some people who I still do like and respect as people and as debaters.... So that's about the only thing I'll really "miss", otherwise this ban is the best thing that has happened to me
Keep in mind, this isn't me saying I'm done making MUs or anything like that... This is just me being involved within the Death Battle community, at least on Reddit... You can probably find me elsewhere and to that, I'll just let you discover...

Conclusions
I'm not a pedophile by any sense of the word and all allegations that's been pushed about me being one is objectively wrong... In other words, that shit is just fake news LOL
