He was charged with a minor and major cp offense, it's not impossible that a gacha game like Browndust would qualify as category 3 cp, but it's very unlikely and we are almost certainly talking exclusively about photos and videos he downloaded from the Internet.

As a fan of older Fire Emblem games, it annoys me that there is any lolishit in them, but Anna is an exceptionally obnoxious case because her character design used to look older, instead of like an 8 year old. Also, while FE has had some absolutely retarded localization, they also occasionally get rid of some of the more gross shit. For example, in Fire Emblem Awakening, if you had two first cousins get married, it will list them as companions, and their dialogue is less romantic. Censoring pedobait is a complete win and I will not pretend otherwise.

As someone who knows enough Japanese to sound like a retard, and not much more, if you were to just see the "Favorable reviews, now on sale" and nothing else, its not impossible to assume its Chinese. Chinese uses only Kanji, Japan has a mix of Kanji and Hiragana, with Katakana for loanwords. I would probably guess it was Chinese if I only saw that text, but obviously, as I said, I'm a retard.

However, if you look at the bottom of the screen, the bell button and skip button are both clearly in Japanese. The bell button has Hiragana which is only Japanese, and the Skip button is in Katakana, there is literally no reason to think this is anything but Japanese.

What I honestly think happened is he just looked at the center bit, thought he had a "gotcha" and just jumped the gun. But even being charitable enough to say that, he still looks like an absolute moron.

Those buttons are part of the video interface, Ubisoft didn't put them there. He just doesn't know that the majority of Japanese is written in Chinese characters, and that the People's Republic of China doesn't even use traditional Chinese characters anymore. The advertisement would probably work just as well in Taiwan/Republic of China but anyone who realizes this fact would never accuse Ubisoft of Chinawashing Japan or whatever he's trying to complain about.

If he was actually born and raised in Japan, he would definitely not assume it was in Chinese. He would probably have read the Chinese characters as Japanese intrinsically if he was. So this basically confirms he really is a britbong. It also makes me suspect he has a very poor understanding of the Japanese language, which is pretty fucking ironic for someone so obsessed with the nation. Either that or he’s retarded. Most likely both.

Even just the fact that he tryhards about calling himself a hāfu, macron mandatory, instead of a hapa, which is the English word, or a half-Japanese, or even a hafu without the macron, is already indicative that he isn't really Japanese.

Since he can't read Japanese, basically nothing. Anything which requires an adult level reading comprehension is impossible for him, classic video games are written entirely in kana, and that is impenetrable unless you are already fluent in Japanese. Even children's media like Naruto which is written in kanji with katakana as pronunciation aid would probably be too hard.

You're failing to understand the concept of language here, it's very common for words to have both a strict and a broad sense, for example I mentioned earlier that child in the strict sense refers to someone below the age of puberty, but in the broad sense for anyone under the age of majority. It's also common to use a word in an improper sense (to our ears this sounds like "misuse" but it isn't), for example when Tucker Carlson recently called Nick Fuentes a "little gay child" because he is young and immature. An alphabet in the broad sense is any set of written characters which communicates primarily through phonetic content, such as of course Latin, or Hebrew, and very famously Phoenician, with the first alphabet of course being Proto-Sinaitic (you can probably guess at why you've never heard of an alphabet that moved from Egypt to Canaan). The improper sense of alphabet to refer to kanji is correct in this context and it would be inaccurate to say that Japanese has three writing systems.

I recognize that name. There was an user named @Solid Hyrax who was a person that was arguing in this thread before. He got banned, he had bad opsec and used the same username everywhere. He had an account on that forum.

Varis Hangout is a forum that is mainly dedicated to being "anti-censorship" with regard to the medium of anime and video games. They are massively against certain changes made by western localization, which they may consider as censorship or woke depending on the context. They are massively pro-lolicon as well. It's kind of like /a/ and /v/ but as a forum from what I can gather.
