Was looking into gui file managers under Linux and most of them like Dolphin, Nemo, Caja, Thunar and Nautilus seem like troon designed nightmares, are there really not any that actually work and look close to Windows FIle Explorer?

You've basically named all the file explorers that offer a close-to-Windows experience. Not leaving yourself a bunch of options.

Seeing as how Microsoft employs a few troons, that would make your baseline-for-comparison file explorer a "troon designed nightmare".

Sure if we're talking about Windows 11 or the like, that is true trannyware.

Windows 10 file explorer? Almost the same as the one in 7 (and that is basically the same as Vista other than the side bar) barring the ribbon interface made for Office 2007 and shoved into Explorer by 2012 because Michaelsoft but even then it is useable and doesn't look like trannyware either.

Also slightly curious, do you happen to use icon view?

In windows? No, details view. But my daily driver is Linux and that's also details view (dolphin).

Won't disagree on Windows 11 being ass. A few clients started deploying new computers @ their Plants that got Windows 11 on them and it's just the worst.
Those windows faggots really replaced the "copy" and "rename" functions in the right click menu with stupid icons because niggers can't read.

Nemo is pretty workable. I migrated from windows 10 and it was an easy change. But over time it's become more of a backup for me, most file manipulation is faster through the terminal emulator.

I fucking love looping through a whole directory batch renaming files using regular expressions.

It's a Linux system. I know this.
