"step by step" You slick fuckers!

A good contrast to Lindsay is a channel called Pop N Olly. Despite the fact it's presented by a gay guy talking to kids about LGBT stuff, it doesn't come across as remotely creepy, seems to be at least somewhat appealing to children, and the comments are all fairly positive.

Plenty of people say "imagine if Lindsay were a man", so if Lindsay were to look around and find "similar" material to her own, she'd see that a GUY was making LGBT stuff without being called a creepy pedo, and she might wonder if the reason "trolls" leave nasty comments on her content might not be because they'e alt-right, but because she DOES come off as a creepy pedo.

Judging by the reacts to my above post people disagreed with me, so how COULD a series like Linday's be handled without seeming creepy?

It can't. Trying to teach little kids about sexuality is never not going to come across creepy. Kids don't have the physical or mental maturity level to understand that stuff. Likewise, the people (like Lindsay) that try to do it, also don't have the mental maturity level to understand why it's wrong, is creepy and will cause suspicions of pedophilia (assuming they actually aren't pedophiles), and will result in backlash from normal people.

Maybe the only way to do it decently would be for a Sesame Street character to have two moms/dads, and for it to otherwise go unremarked.

Samsqanch is right. This is the kind of things parents should discuss with kids in a manner they see fit. When someone else (especially someone as creepy as Lindsey) does it, it just comes off as akward and weird.

The approach is odd and badly calculated, I don't really think much of the corrupting children idea because this is totally inaccessable for children even if you support what she's saying. The issue is it doesnt really relate to childrens experiance and comes in at too early an age, I don't think it will teach children much except a new list of people who are weird and differant. Moral lessons have to be really simplistic on the demographic stage and trying to teach radical lgbt political theory to small children is like starting on algebra when teaching math. At best they won't get it, but it's also likely they'll get a reaction so fragmented and flawed that it might even backfire as they've been taught the language of the 'other' far earlier than they're ready for.

you can really tell lindsey isnt that familiar with childrens education, I suspect her audience are actually adults engaging in low key mental masturbation about how they're going to save the world by ensuring their kids don't hate gay people......something they should be teaching them themselves.

Little kids that Lindsey is trying to reach should be watching Blue clues or something. Something that at least tries to teach them stuff in an entertaining manner. Kids at that age are more concerned about snack time than asking the other kids about their pronouns when they can barely count up to 10. All this sexuality, gender, trump (oh yes she made a video about him) crap goes over their heads and 2 minutes in they are probably rocking back and forth singing the opening of Dora out of sheer boredom.

Little kids can’t relate to any of this crap. At worst it brainwashed into extreme leftist thinking and at best they are utterly bored. You don’t need an entire video series. You don’t need a 7 minute video explaining about what the Q stands for in lgbtqrstu+. All you need is solid parents who teach them this stuff once they are older or simply mention, oh yeah Cousin Jimmy has two daddies when Jimmy is over to eat playdough and leaving it at that. At least kids have a concept of what parents are.

The reality of why it's creepy it shouldn't be relevant to children, to introduce something like this serves them no point. If it has a point it's to open their mind to something very wrong and dangerous so young.

If I was to talk to a pre schooler about the difference between filing taxes it's just as useless and boring to them. But I'm not putting in their mind what this creepy childless lady and her teddy bear want to do with you is ok.

I wasn't nail on the head with my prediction, but it's moving in that direction. Do boys and girls toys aisles even exist anymore? I don't have kids and don't go in big toy stores and the trend I've noticed is that there are just toy aisles.
When I go in, yes they are separated. On one side is girl toys, on one side is boy toys. It's the "toy aisle" but there is still a divide.

Won't be too surprised when they try to push for them to just make a big giant dumpster of toys for customers to dig through at random.

I collect Marvel Legends action figures so I can say, yes the aisles are still seperate. Action figures are together, as are toy cars and dolls. I think it's as much for convience as it is for gender.

This reminds me too of that one video Lindsey did on Trump when he has elected as the president. Obviously a topic no 5 year old could understand other than “this is a mean man who my parents hate so I am going to hate him too!”. Basically trying to emulate the thoughts and feelings of what their parents think. All Lindsey did in that video is add fire to the hysteria no kid should be involved in.

I remember during the elections I worked as an afteschool educator. Basically I babysat kids who’s parents were away. One little girl, probably around 7 years old, was absolutely terrified of the thought of Trump winning. Instead of crying over how her best friend stole her Oreo, she was conviencied Trump was going to send all the Mexicans away and she didn’t want to leave. In that instance, it was the fault of the parents for installing that fear in their daughter. Lindsey no different in that political video about Trump.

She did another video on activism and if the rest didn’t indicate this, it just shows how politically motivated she is.

Toys aren't separated by gender, it's by category. Mixing the American Girl knockoffs with the Tonka trucks and mixing the dress-up with the Lego just creates confusion. So there are aisles with dolls, dress-up, and other fashion toys; aisles with Lego and other building toys; aisles with the app-connected interactive game toys; aisles with whatever pop culture brands are "in" like Star Wars and Marvel; aisles with Paw Patrol and Doc McStuffins...it's organized by theme and category.

Now, of course, those toys are still marketed to boys or girls, so the fashion toy aisle is going to be a hellscape of pink, while the Lego, building, and app toy aisles are going to be a lot of yellow and blue. But if you're judging what your kid can have on the color of the packaging, you're a bit of an idiot and you probably think BP is the environmentally friendly gas station option.

I heard a little boy happily telling his dad at Walmart the other day how he wanted a Wonder Woman doll/figure because of how cool Wonder Woman was. The dad seemed fine with this, and if the kid didn't end up with the toy it was because the dad didn't want to buy him a toy, not because it was WW. And I don't exactly live in a progressive leftist area right now.

The aisles aren't the problem, it's the marketing and packaging. But telling Mattel to make Barbie's packaging gender neutral is like telling Walmart to only sell products made in America.

Correct things to teach kids that age about gay stuff: "don't make fun of Heather for having two mommies." Incorrect things: "Let's check out Heather's mommies' dragon dildo collection." Lindsay can't really separate her own SJW obsessions with the things that kids actually care about, so even when she's not being creepy she just wanders off into the weeds about stuff kids don't care about and couldn't understand even if they did.

My nephew watched the election and came to our house talking excited about how Trump was our new president and what he learned the president does.

I didn't tell him anything because fuck that, the kid is a kid, let him be excited to vote when he's older. He asked why people were being mean to him on the news, and all I said was "some people don't like him." "Why?" "I don't know, kiddo. It's like I eat burgers but you don't like them." Left it at that, he understands it enough.

It's the parents who put their child in the midst of politics that should fuck right off. They aren't ready for kids.
