Eh, I'd say it isn't all trans people to blame for it, just people who want to latch onto the newest trendy identity to be a special snowflake much like how bisexuality was the trend back in the early 2000s. You only hear about the crazy trannies that give the rest of the community a bad image because the non-crazy ones are just trying to live their lives, keep their heads down, and pass as their preferred gender. Ironically this shit makes it harder for trans people who just want to have normal lives because if you're not 100% passing or mid-transition then you get lumped in with these lunatics.

These people keep saying that things like hairstyles aren't inherently gendered, and assuming that they are is some kind of vile cisnormative thoughtcrime against the freedom of expression of gender nonconformists. Now they're producing weird kiddy porn posters where boys and girls are identified by, uh, their hair cuts, because if the owner of a vulva has short hair it's clearly because they're not really a girl, and pig tails take precedence over penises when it comes to identifying one's gender.

So, which one fucking is it? Are we allowed to presume that a person's choice of gender presentation reflects their preferred pronouns or not? This is classic cognitive dissonance and it's making my brain hurt. Make your bloody minds up, you bunch of loonies.
