Maybe someone with a shiv can finally give her the circumcision she's always wanted.Reviving this thread some. She just got arrested along with some other Islamists from CAIR who were protesting outside Paul Ryan's office over DACA. DACA is apparently an issue for Muslims for some reason? Somehow? I mean this is like Planned Parenthood protesting drinking age or something.

It also mentions the accusations against Sarsour of covering up sexual assault back when she was a chair of some Islamic organization, which I don't think has been mentioned in this thread yet.
Most feminists (the ones smart enough not to call themselves one) realize that it does. Feminism's not about women, equality, "anti-racism", or any of that shit. It's an inherently divisive, Marxist ideology whose primary goal is to get everyone dependent on the state.I wonder how many feminists are going to come to the realization that Sharia Law does indeed treat women like crap?
Yeah, all those suffragettes and women breaking ground in the medical establishment? Really just part of the evil Marxist plot, playing the long con over a century. Any more hot takes you got there, sport? Most feminists (the ones smart enough not to call themselves one) realize that it does. Feminism's not about women, equality, "anti-racism", or any of that shit. It's an inherently divisive, Marxist ideology whose primary goal is to get everyone dependent on the state.
Man, as complex as my feelings are about Courtney Love, I got no small amount of glee from seeing her drag this bitch on Twitter. Courtney's also half Jewish, so I'm sure Sarsour's antisemitism probably did her no favors.
But man. This lady. In a post 9/11 world, particularly in America, Muslims are protected by the left because we remember the horror stories of hate crimes against Muslims right after 9/11 (hell, Muslims weren't the only targets either; Sikh Indians were singled out because of their turbans and beards). That specter of the weeks shortly after 9/11 is probably one of the biggest motivating factors for why leftists have found themselves supporting people like Sarsour. The left has failed to acknowledge the equally bloody history Islam has to Christianity, hence their stubborn refusal to acknowledge the (ahem) privilege that Muslim men hold in majority Muslim countries. I have legit seen people get chided for their reactions to images of secular Iran in the 70's compared to modern Iran, because how dare they think the secular Iran was more progressive, can't those fools see they were being subjugated by imperialist Western standards?
The mind boggles. Those poor women in bell-bottoms attending university, their heads uncovered by hijabi. If only they knew the liberation that was to come.
It is frustrating, as a leftist, to see the trend of protecting everything from hijabi to burka as liberating. The main issue isn't the clothes themselves, it's the agency of the women wearing them. Does Linda Sarsour fight for the rights of Muslim women who don't want to wear hijabi? Well, she apparently doesn't give a shit about Muslim victims of sexual harassment, so I doubt it. Linda doesn't seem very interested in protecting the rights of people to criticize Islam as an institution, something that people can and rightfully should do of Christianity. Criticizing a religion does not mean you hate those who practice it... unless it's Islam, apparently.
There are Muslim men out there whose sense of entitlement far surpasses those of most basic white boys. I've known them. I've gone to school and worked with them. There is definitely a cultural element to this entitlement that is worth criticizing, but good luck trying to do so without being called an Islamaphobe. Oh, but don't criticize any strains of antisemitism among certain Muslims. They're justified. And women and the LGBT are apparently supposed to just accept this bad behavior without question, because people like Linda Sarsour say so.
I can only hope more leftists and feminists rightfully call this woman out for being more conservative than her loudest conservative critics because JESUS.
I remember right after 9/11 too, I remember immediately seeing leftists say America deserved it, say Muslims are great, etc. Even the President said Islam is a religion of peace, it was an almost instant work of damage control and I was a Liberal at the time. There were a couple of stories of some shit going down but let's not pretend the Left wasn't constantly united on the side of Muslims and against America since the evening of September 11 2001. Aside from someone like Howard Stern, it seemed I heard a lot about "this is a wake-up call for America" and "why do they hate us?" and "how could we be to blame for this?"

This is why I'm Buddhist. No religious bullshit. Just easy to follow philosophy.
I remember that happening as well, a lot of it in the weeks following. But mostly I just remember a giant clusterfuck of fear and confusion.
Perhaps being on the East Coast, and being as close as I am to DC, there weren't quite as many people who were dismissive of the attacks, because they were literally hitting that close to home. I noticed after Osama bin Laden had been killed, the reaction of liberals in California was very different than it was on over here, where you had far fewer people trying to act like they were above the huge sense of relief and closure many people had.
I dunno, man, it was a weird time.
It's not hypocritical at all in their minds. People who have the wrong opinions and disagree with them aren't human beings in their eyes.I always do love the "I just can't celebrate the death of a human being" bullshit from people who then go on to post shit about how thrilled they are when people like Scalia die.
Sounds exhausting.Same reason I'm a Nihilist. Plus it's a convenient excuse to be edgy.
Respect women’s rights........to obey their Muslim husband and cover their hair or entire body! Respect women’s rights.....to be escorted by male family members when outside the home. Respect women’s rights......to not have a fair trial in Muslim countries or divorce.

Aside from that sick burn, does Linda not recall the Senate Hearings of Clarence Thomas' nomination to the Supreme Court?
Is she aware that Clarence Thomas is a black man?
That would be funnier if it wasn't actually on the nose. Anyone who disagrees with the narrative isn't real.He is a successful, productive member of society. That excludes him from being a black man to her and her kind.
That makes him an uncle Tom, or a Coon.
Follower of Fartana wins an internet and Linda's going to need some aloe for that sick burn.Respect women’s rights........to obey their Muslim husband and cover their hair or entire body!
