A female friend of mine wanted me to watch a playthrough of it (fair, since I always want her to do the same thing on my stuff) and I watched about half of the first game before I got bored.

I noticed right away a very keen insistence of the main character, stating over and over how "I just turned 18", which didn't feel natural at all. Both in reason and the fact she looked like a 13 year old loli at the oldest.

Then my friend told me that is exactly the case. It was a change or censor in the western version to make everyone over 18, given the sexual and whatever-else content.

Eh, it was ambitious, I guess. But it's definitely a type of game I have no interest to play. Girls freaking obsess over it though. And gays too, I guess.

I enjoyed the first game a lot more than I expected to when it came out, forgot they did a spin-off (supposedly it bombed sales wise), and have no interest in the new one with Mexican kids. The "lol cringe" dialog didn't bother me as much as it did seemingly everyone else, but it seems like they had a handful of ideas and no real plan on how to make any of them fun.

The Tumblr aesthetic was actually sort of charming to me, but aesthetic only gets you so far.

played lis 2 finally. wasnt too bad tbh, though there was some certainly hamfisted politics that were as subtle as getting hit in the back of the head with a brick. i can tell this'll age as well as a fine wine in the future, obviously

Better ageing than 1 or worse?

well any references to donald trump or CURRENT(2016)YEAR will make sure that it acts as a product of it's time
seriously, theres a line that goes "this is why we should build that wall" in it or something along those lines so this'll age well in 2-6 years and by that i mean not really, but at least they arent using hella so that's an improvement

I just played Life Is Strange 2:

It was funny for all the wrong reason. I kept on forgetting the kids were Mexican then they shoved in your face when that happens. When I played it some redneck kidnapped the kids for being Mexican because I didn't steal anything in the game. After you escape some pedo neckbeard blogger SJW saves them. I meet him earlier in the story looking at nudes at the gas station.

i will say that season 2 is at least a little better than 1. doesnt have as much cringey dialogue

Personally I can't stand "story based" or "episodic" ""games"". I play vidjya to play a GAME, not watch a shitty visual novel being touted as a game. This "game" was free on ps+ a while back, I can't finish it even when playing for the lulz, it's fucking awful.

So will this season end with them in Mexico paying for the wall?

And it looks likes the choices in Captain Spirit amounted to one episode, and a kid who's dad is still a drunk who will emotionally abuse his autistic son after the Mexican kids left. Life Is Sad.

Played the first two chapters of Before The Storm. It's pretty fucking bad, I mean bad. The newer one is way easier to make fun of than this one was. Before The Storm is like watching a Twilight movie. I hope I can play the last two chapters without throwing my controller at the tv.

I played the last chapter of Before The Storm and the story was really autistic. I didn't know what the fuck was going on at the end nor did I care.
