Black Lives Matter Students Shut Down the ACLU's Campus Free Speech Event Because 'Liberalism Is White Supremacy'

Students affiliated with the Black Lives Matter movement crashed an event at the College of William & Mary, rushed the stage, and prevented the invited guest—the American Civil Liberties Union's Claire Gastañaga, a W & M alum—from speaking.

Ironically, Gastañaga had intended to speak on the subject, "Students and the First Amendment."

The disruption was livestreamed on BLM at W&M's Facebook page. Students took to the stage just a few moments after Gastañaga began her remarks. At first, she attempted to spin the demonstration as a welcome example of the kind of thing she had come to campus to discuss, commenting "Good, I like this," as they lined up and raised their signs. "I'm going to talk to you about knowing your rights, and protests and demonstrations, which this illustrates very well. Then I'm going to respond to questions from the moderators, and then questions from the audience."

So now Trump Supporters, Conservatives, Libertarians, and Republicans are Nazis, Moderates are sympathetic to Nazis and White Supremacists, and the ACLU, and Liberals are White Supremacists now. Also the "Revolution will not uphold the Constitution".

It's almost like BLM and Antifa are far left black socialist and an-com extremists or something.

The Black Lies Matter insurgents at William & Mary are about 7 people, and they tend to be on the more bat shit crazy end of the spectrum even for such a group of nuts.

I'm not sure how oppressed you can be at a $35,000 year college

After the president of the College of William and Mary took issue with student Black Lives Matter activists issuing demands instead of requests, the latter went off on a rant about his “white supremacy” and “patriarchy.”

They added that the president “should not have his job.”

According to The Libertarian Republic, William & Mary President W. Taylor Reveley III was none too happy that the BLMers — dubbed “Built on Our Backs” at the school — had demanded

–a tenured diversity position
–a required social justice course
–an Africana Studies department
–a zero-tolerance policy for racism
–more staff for W&M’s Center for Student Diversity
–emphasis on recruiting black students
–more employment and retention of black faculty.

“I don’t deal in demands,” Reveley said. “I don’t make demands of other people. I don’t expect to receive demands from people. I love to get suggestions, recommendations, strong arguments.”

In response, the Center for Student Diversity’s Erica West complained “This is what being censored looks like. This is what white supremacy looks like. This is what patriarchy looks like. This is what condescension looks like. This is what being told ‘you, your issues and your life don’t matter’ looks like. THIS is why we say #BlackLivesMatter.”

A BLM chapter is picking a fight with the ACLU, how cute.

The latter organisation has been at the forefront for decades on racial, homosexual, trans, religious and speech issues. They've worked tirelessly to protect the liberties of Americans, regardless of political affiliation or identity.
