I'm curious now if he's the one who was known as Goddess Briyella on Pokemon Showdown from (the elitist pricks) Smogon. Briyella became amod within a month of signing up because internet girl on the internet ohmigoshbewbs.

Big controversy where Briyella would invite girls to a secret channel and try to cyber them, only to find it was a guy behind the character.
 
I always thought that Pokémon's obsession with childhood was kind of creepy, I guess it carries over to the fans. You can see it in Sonichu as well, where nobody ever grows up, children are openly sexualized, etc.

The games themselves don't really fetishize kids, though, I don't think, it's more "Kids are inexplicably allowed an absurd amount of power in this fictional world." Which, granted, is an easy premise for pervs to latch onto.

When they tried using older characters for a game (Colosseum, where the protagonist is old enough to ride a motorcycle/single-wheeled monstrosity) it didn't work too well, so they're probably just sticking to the winning formula.
Also, children aren't sexualized at all. Hell, I'd argue about ANYTHING being openly sexualized in Pokémon. It's all the fanbase being a bunch of sick fucks.

Edit: Oh, right, those. I pay much more attention to the games themselves than the side material so I was speaking from that particular perspective. There's plenty of weird shit in the cartoon and the TCG.

If we're talking about pedo overtones in Pokemon, there are two Pokemon cards (that I know of, doubtless there's a lot more than that) that are pretty suspect.

Youtuber TheJWittz has videos showing and explaining the different edits in the cards, comics and episodes to make them acceptable by Western standards. Still... Weird innuendo gets through. :P

I first found out about the whole drama with Bulbapedia in this very thread. The current fading of what little remaining interest I have in monsters of the pocket has accelerated.

Some find #282 attractive because (s)he's* humanoid. But they have these sort of demonic-looking blood red eyes. That, or their eyes are reminiscent of the red-eyed tree frog.

If I wasn't clear, I was actually referring to the human characters and their huge, perfectly ovular eyes. Even by the standards of anime eyes they look weird to me.
